This was the first place we ate at in Jackson on our visit and unfortunately it was the culinary low point of our trip. The service staff we interacted with looked like fairly young, possibly fresh out of (or in) high school, which isn't a problem if they can do the job well, but the hostess made an offhand comment to someone that she was going to have a panic attack because the restaurant was busy; this seemed like a regular dinner rush and there were maybe 10 people waiting to be seated nothing you wouldn't see at most restaurants at dinner time. Our waiter was unfamiliar with the beers when we inquired. After taking our order he came back 10 minutes later to ask us for our order which we had to remind him he already took. Two of us got Philly cheesesteaks, one got a bison burger, and the other wings. The cheesesteaks were average at best, the bison burger was lacking in anything special, a plain white bun, a translucent white piece of lettuce, and the bay fries I ordered were just regular fries. Probably the most insulting were the wings which looked like they were bought from the frozen food section of a grocery store and just thrown in the fryer, definitely not fresh or made in house and heavily seasoned with salt (not spice). Being our first night in Jackson we weren't sure if this was the dining quality we could expect but for the remainder of our trip the restaurants we visited were much better quality often with less of a wait and better pricing. These places included Whistling Grizzly, Hand Fire Pizza, Virginian Restaurant and Snake River Brewery. For my last meal we went to Snake River Brewing and had one of the best Bison burgers and Wings I've ever had, a total night and day difference from the quality of food we got at Cutty's. Maybe I'd be more forgiving if the prices were lower but there's a lot of places nearby that will offer you a better bang for your buck. I'd recommend the restaurant owners really dial in the quality of their food/menu options and the attentiveness of their wait staff if they want to compete with the nearby restaurants. Also if you have any food allergies their menu explicitly states that they will not accommodate you, something I've never seen on a...
Read moreGot a large 2 topping pizza $29.50 and a large fry $9. $41 with tax was a little shocking and when I asked for a receipt because I wanted to see if I was overcharged the nice young man happily gave it to me. He said prices went up because of tariffs…🤦🏼♀️ I was so insulted that the owners told him to tell me that. What would be tariffed the Idaho potatoes or the pizza? Are you importing your dough or sauce or are you getting your mushrooms, cheese and pepperoni directly from Italy? That is so insulting to think I am stupid enough to believe tarrifs are why your prices are too high. I would have respected you telling the truth and the truth is everybody in Jackson charges too much for their food. Just because it’s Jackson. Tarrifs😤🤯
My suggestion is go to Handfire Pizza and get a better pizza for $24 It is a much nicer place with great service.
Ps. They really shortchanged us on the fries. Put them in a great big box but when you opened the box there were hardly any fries. 😢 $9…?
We won’t be returning…no need to insult me and tell me you don’t care if I come back like all your other reviews. It is redundant.
To react to your lies… I am not from Kentucky. I am from Wyoming. The young man was right I am dripping in beautiful jewels. I asked for the receipt and he said “ I know it is so expensive and the prices got raised because of tarrifs.” I said “ that is not true so you shouldn’t say it.” He said “that’s what the owners told me to say.” That is the truth. Making my personal possessions that I bought with hard earned money is also redundant. Trying to make people resent me is rude. I am no Karen…if I were I would have had my cell phone on recording the interaction then demanded to talk to you and make a scene… You are the...
Read moreUPDATE: Memorial Weekend 2025 We have always loved thw vibe and atmosphere here so we had to stop back by. They were packed when we arrived but we still had a quick seat and beer order taken right away. We tried some Philly this round and some nachos. The Philly were pretty big, I had to take half mine in a box. I tried a texas one I believe which was a little spicy with some bbq flavor. We also ordered another one that was supposed to be real spicy but it tasted like a pizza one....no spice. The nachos (we got on the 2nd visit of our trip) were Huge for an appatizer! Loved how they were made with waffle fries and Philly toppings. This is all we ordered for 2 people. The first night (2 Phillys and 4 beers) were quiet expensive I thought. Around $70 or so. The 2nd trip in felt super affordable, (nachos and around 6 beers) was only like 40-50 maybe. Regardless, the staff are amazing. The conversation and atmosphere are perfect and it's awesome.to see to the owner working alongside his team and making rounds to check on every single customer in the building. You can tell he truly cares. We love it here. We will always swing by and say hi!
We came to watch some college football. We ordered some wings and fries. The wings were really good, nice and crispy outside and tender juicy meat. The fries were hot and just as fries should be. Service was nice. Price I felt was a little high for bar food, and the parking was very tight and less than ideal. Overall, it was a...
