I really did not have a good time here. Quite a lot happened but here are some main things. Parking is very limited and the parking lot is set up for crashes it's so tight for backing up and the drive through often blocks the exit. Ordering was painful as the employee didn't communicate well. I asked for a large water and instead of saying they only have water cups they charged me for an XL soda without my knowledge. That was only one of several mistakes they made and I was very tired from the day to go short it all out at the counter. They also served chicken strips but didn't have them on the menu. The food was stale and not warm and I usually enjoy DQ food. I wanted to try the new rotisserie chicken. It's obviously not a popular item because of making sure I had some nice ones they gave my little chicken bits that seemed the last dregs scraped out of the food warmer. We won't talk about the toast to much but I'd call is rubbery with no crisp to it. The employees didn't call order numbers just what they food was so people were taking each other's orders. At one point an employee called out "whoever has the two blizzards they are up here melting so please come get them". 😂 And to end I went back up to get my receipt because I realized I needed it (mostly to find out what I had been charged for with the sodas and my missing queso dressing). The poor employee got so stressed trying to find it even with my receipt number and having explained what I ordered. They just didn't Know what they were doing and kept rejecting help from other workers. Finally after a few minutes the other employee came over and found it instantly and printed it off. So it wasn't downright awful but quite a disappointment I'd rather got to something more local in Jackson and pay more.

I went to the Dairy Queen in Jackson, WY on 6/15/24. I went thru the drive thru, placed my order, received my food, all of that went fine. I asked for my receipt, and it's a good thing I did. They took it upon themselves to add a tip to my bill.... I did not authorize this charge! It's not even about the $1.00, how many people go here, don't look at their receipt and get screwed because these guys are adding tips to their receipts? I went inside and brought it to the managers attention, and he didn't even say anything about it, he just went back to the register and took $1.00, came over and handed it to me and walked away. Pretty shady business in my opinion...

We used to come here all the time years ago. It used to be pretty decent. Recently it just seems like they don't care. Service was slow, and the cashier was being difficult. Then they skimped on all of our blizzards (didn't turn them upside down either, but I don't care that much...) Not to mention that none of the employees would talk to us or take our order. They just kept pacing around the back and hiding when I would make eye contact with them.

After reading the other reviews here, I have decided to add my two cents. Those bad reviews, yes sadly it is true. I would like to start by stating that the nice banner on the front with a colorful cake says "Bring Happy Home". One might think this would show a pleasant experience, one could not be further from the truth.

Happy Wholesome Fun

Would all be words one might think describe a Dairy Queen. All these words are lies.

In the two times I visited this Dairy Queen (they are lucky they even get a second visit, I just wanted a Blizzard, should've just went to the next Dairy Queen, 56 miles away after the first monstrosity). The experience can be compared to the pain of waiting 6 hours at a DMV. Lets begin the list of grievances.

Exact time of this incident 2:20 PM on July 13th, 2021. Person taking order in drive through is very rude. He kept trying to rush our order when making a choice, interrupted us numerous times, and would get mad if we didn't specify the size of drink or if we wanted a combo. He couldn't understand what we were trying to order even when specified multiple times clearly. After experiencing this drive through, I made sure to double check my Coke to ensure no one "accidentally" spit in it, cause this customer service fits the profile. Total nightmare, would not recommend to anyone with decent self respect. I could however recommend this to anyone who wants to be treated like trash. They do not know how to treat a customer. I get the feeling they are frustrated working there and take it out on the customers. Byfar the worst customer service I have ever had the misfortune of experiencing in fast food, and I have seen my fair share of terrible.

They literally dropped our food at the drive through window.

Overall, food is alright. I'm just complaining about the customer service which is completely abysmal in all perspectives. If visiting, I recommend suffering in traffic at Jackson Hole for a more locak restaurant then this abomination of a restaurant. Just know that 1 Star is far too many for a place like this.

Edit: Found a hair in my Alaskan Cod Sandwich. Completely disgusted. If you value your life I recommend staying as far away from here as possible. God forbid the hygiene issues you would find if going inside. If you decide to order from here, make sure to check your food for hair. The food is...

First of all, I have no issue with foreign workers working in the US. I also understand how ordering by drive thru's can be a pain because the speakers and microphone can be so muffled u can barely place a simple order. Now we can tell the lady placing our order wasn't local because she had an accent, she was having trouble understanding us and we were having problems understanding her. She was trying hard to get our orders and I do appreciate her trying to get it right. We placed an order of a tiramisu cake shake and a Cherry freeze. For some reason, she started asking bout ice creams on the freeze and stuff, so my bf changed the term to slushie but she was still asking the same thing. We finally got the order placed with no ice cream but the total came up to 13 bucks. Now the tiramisu shake had no price on it, just the word 'new' so we were kinda surprised it cost that much for two drinks. Drove up to collect our order, an old man handed us a blue raspberry freeze. My bf told him he ordered cherry, so he took it back and handed him a cherry freeze. Next up, he handed us 2 tiramisu shakes, now we know why it was 13 bucks, we were charged for 3 drinks. My bf waited for him to return to the window and told him we only ordered 1 but he insisted we ordered a blue raspberry freeze and 2 tiramisu shakes. He wasn't happy and told my bf he's gonna refund him one of the shakes in cash and that 'he don't want it back'. He came back with the money and told him to speak up next time and articulate our orders but in the first place, how did 'A tiramisu' sound like '2' and 'cherry' sounding like 'blue raspberry'? The syllables aren't even the same for cherry. Not only that, he made it sound like we messed up the order on purpose, so we could get a free drink out of it. I would suggest to have an order screen up on the drive thru,so we can confirm our orders on screen when people are having problem placing their orders. Also, do something with that rude old man because this situation could be handled so much better than this. To sum it up, totally unprofessional and rude experience, I'm glad we're only here for a short vacation coz we will never be back to this DQ. And yea, maybe I should be glad we got a free drink out of it and got to tell that old man to 'f off' ,surely made our...
