How does Lynch’s only have 3 and a half stars? (on Yelp) I’m so shocked. They deserve more than that. Over the years, every time I visit I’ve had phenomenal service, my drinks are strong, live music is always abundant, and the prices are always fair. Now I can’t speak on behalf of the food. I actually don’t recall trying Lynch’s food ever, even when I worked there over 10 years ago. It just was not a thought to me I guess to go to a live music bar and try to order food in a bustling loud pub. I’m there to mingle with friends, have a drink, and enjoy the atmosphere. This is a reminder to myself to order food next time I visit.
Lynch’s is a staple in Jax Beach. We all see what’s happening with five points in north Jax - long time businesses shutting down or getting pushed out of the neighborhood, and new commercial developments moving in. With all of the new construction (hotels, apts, etc) in Jax beach, I’d hate to see the same thing possibly happen in the future to great local businesses such as this.
Lukumades moved in next door to Lynch’s and I honestly think this is a great spot for them. A Greek donut and ice cream spot open late right next to an Irish pub?! Yo sign me up! I’ll take both please. Let me get some drinks and enjoy some live music at Lynch’s then on the way home, grab some mini Greek donuts to go. Sounds good to me. Those two should team up in some way. I think it would benefit both parties.
Could Lynch’s use a mini face lift and adapt some new practices to help bring them up to date in 2024 to compete with competition? Yes. It’s hard out there for small businesses right now, (it has been since Covid) - without change, it’s hard to continue to rise. But give em a bone. They have remodeled, expanded, and added new ideas over the years; they have put in work.
Lynch’s = Locals. It’s a die hard spot I want to see stay here for many years to come. If you have never visited, check their socials for upcoming entertainment you might be interested in, and...
Read moreIf I could give this place a zero I would. The absolute most racist atmosphere I've ever experienced in life!!! Went there with my daughter, she's mixed, and although the crowd was packed and everyone was pushing and shoving through the crowd the entire time, as we were leaving, some girl, we were later told, falsely accused my daughter of punching her. We didn't even know what was going on until my daughter was being unjustly manhandled into the street!! Then within minutes she was accused of disorderly conduct, resisting arrest without violence, and received some of the worst police brutality I've ever personally witnessed, from literally doing nothing but trying to celebrate a certification she'd just received from Merrill Lynch that day!!! We've got pics of the bruises they left on her from the neck all the way to her ankles, literally!! I'm telling absolutely everyone about this place, and the racial profiling they do there! My daughter is one of the most gentle natured people I know, more so than myself, and if she thought for one second she'd offended or pushed someone the way she was accused, she wouldn't have hesitated to apologise to that person!! We still don't even know who accused her or what even caused the incident. All I know is the bouncer just suddenly dragged her away from us for no reason, then she was literally dragged into a squad car by those officers!! She's literally traumatized by the whole thing! I'm making a formal complaint on the BBB website as well,so people know this...
Read moreLynch's is NOT RECOMMENDED because of their shamefully and offensively poor customer service. I gave them one star for service and atmosphere, both of which are terrible, but cannot rate the food because THEY WOULD NOT LET US IN. Two employees denied us entry at the door at 5:30 PM on a Sunday evening because one member of our party did not have a Florida driver's license. We wanted to eat dinner, but they would not even let us in. I asked to speak to a manager, but they told me one was not available.
My advice is SKIP LYNCH'S and go to THE REFINERY just down the street in Jax Beach, which is what we did. The upstairs fine dining at The Refinery has a beautiful view of the ocean, the food is excellent, and the service is warm, friendly, professional, and efficient. The Refinery has a nice ocean front bar as well, but we were there for the food.
This Google review is asking how much we SPENT per person at Lynch's: the answer is A BIG FAT $0.00 because they would not let us in.
Google is also asking what dishes we would recommend at Lynch's: NONE because they would not let us in.
Google is also asking to share more about other topics - again, NONE because they would...
