Ruby Thai Kitchen — Restaurant in Jacksonville

I ordered a “small” portion of mixed vegetables a half hour before closing I wanted to have it with my protein chicken. Tge attendant gave me more than I asked for and said the owner was throwing it all in. I tasted the green beans and cabbage and I could not eat it. It was incredibly salty and I can’t eat high in salt as I have kidney stones which high salt creates. But this was over the top!! I brought the take out right back to the counter in its original take out white box. The Asian woman who charged me took the box in the back and did not return my money. Wanted to try something a little different at the Avenues Mall Food Court. I decided to try the chicken and lamb platter with the rice and salad. I also added the falafel balls.

The food was ok. I felt like the lamb and chicken were missing flavor. If it wasn't for the sauce drizzled on top and the rice the meal would have been very bland.

The food is cooked and placed inside of buffet style warmers. So it doesn't matter if you order a gyro or platter. The meat would still have the same lack of flavors.

Customer service was great. Very friendly staff and quick with orders. Just don't think I would try this place again due to the...

Food is okay. The issue is, I was told the server and the crew does NOT get the tip at all. So I asked why. They say because the owner is Chinese. That is not an excuse not giving the tip where it supposed to go. Hope the management of this place fixes this.

Do not give tip or ask the server if they even gets it.
