I recently stopped by Mister Rickâs Sandwich Shop and had a mixed experience. The food overall was just okayânothing particularly memorable or impressive. However, one standout was the seeded rolls, which were soft, fresh, and genuinely delicious ( as my wife tells me). They made a noticeable difference compared to the regular rolls, which unfortunately lacked the same quality and flavor she tried mine and it was a somewhat hard bread and bland. If youâre planning to try this place, I highly recommend requesting the seeded rollâit elevates the sandwich significantly. That said, the rest of the meal felt pretty average. Ingredients didnât seem especially fresh or flavorful, and there wasnât much that set the sandwiches apart from other local spots. Itâs not a bad place, but with so many options out there, I was hoping for a bit more. Worth a visit if youâre nearby and craving a sandwichâjust make sure you go for the seeded roll-which I could not as I am allergic so I will not be going back and my wife rated it overall just ok compared to...
Read moreLET ME EXPLAIN. Okay, the sandwiches are 5 star sandwiches. And thatâs coming from a very skeptical kid from jersey. They really are top notch and the quality of their meats and toppings, better than Leeâs. Easily. HOWEVER; their hours of operation arenât always set in stone (They often close earlier than posted) and simply put, you guys close way too early in general. You are right behind a massive strip of bars. Me, and all the other 20 somethings that funnel out of those bars each night are hungry. I canât name the amount of times Iâve wanted to eat so Mr. Ricks and the place is closed at 7pm. Do you know how well fat sandwiches sell to drunk people? 47 hours a week is not long enough, youâre hitting the lunch crowd but you barely even leave enough time for the dinner crowd, and none for the bar crawlers. Only writing this review because itâs 4:54 on a Monday and I just walked up to a...
Read moreI REALLY liie their cheesesteak hoagie. I moved to philly recently and I've been to many of the places that get the high praise from the locals (delsandros, maxx's, angelos) and they are all very good and desrve the grest reviews. I read that Mister Ricks Hoagies were the best near Elkins park and I was thrilled to find out the reveiws werent wrong. Imo Mister Hoagies cheesteak hoagie was right there with Maxx's which is my favorite. Like right there, just as good, maybe even BETTER! Maxx's has the edge on the chicken cheesesteak for me because they chop the chicken more thoroughly and I like the chicken cheesesteak to more closely mirror the steak version but their cheeseteak Hoagie is worth the trip even if u arent close. They should be on all the lists of best cheesesteaks in or around...
