New to the Jersey City Heights central avenue food scene, this taco joint impresses with its quick service and amicable staff. Their swift, professional demeanor ensures you're in and out in no time, which is perfect for those unexpected hunger pains. Yet, despite the haste, the friendliness of the employees never wanes, adding a warm touch to your meal.
Their offerings, though limited to tacos and some basics sandwiches, vary in quality. The Pollo Asado tacos stand out - juicy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned, they make for a satisfying meal. But the Birra tacos left much to be desired, being dry and overcooked, they miss the mark.
Although the eatery focuses on tacos, a touch more diversity in their menu would be welcomed. Not detracting from the art of taco making, but complementing it with additional options could elevate the dining experience.
Overall, this place works well for a quick taco fix, but wouldn't necessarily be my first choice for a leisurely meal. It's a decent spot for an emergency refuel, but there's room for improvement to make it...
Read moreWent to there grand opening in Jersey city heights and I have to say I was very disappointed. The left picture with aluminum foil is from the torta truck in jc heights. The picture with the torta in the styrofoam container is from a local vendor from my trip to Texas from a authentic torta vendor. The size and the quality of food from the torta from Texas was hands down way better then then the disgrace of a torta I got from the torta truck in jc. The meat was ok from the torta truck in jc not the best. They use Portuguese rolls for there tortas not the traditional bread used for tortas. 15 dollars for a torta at the this place isn’t worth it. Don’t do what I did and believe the hype. Very very disappointed. P.s the English teacher that’s supposedly the owner didn’t read the whole post if I said your grand opening unfortunately for you. You didn’t have a google account for this business at the time so yes I copied and pasted it. Their you go and if this is how you take criticism I feel very sorry for your small business and hope the...
Read moreUsually we are happy to see new restaurants and businesses to open up in the neighborhood. We feel it improves the neighborhood and for the foodie family who tends to order 3-4 times per week, it is VERY important to have new food places nearby. However this particular place is harassing people who live in the surrounding area. They self installed a vent system that is very loud and people at least 5 houses in each direction cannot open windows, balconies or use backyard even at night because their system sounds like being at the airport. I think if you want to succeed in the neighborhood you need to respect people around you which is not the case with this place. The 21st century has systems that allow people to live close to restaurants. I am wonder where else they cut corners? I am not planning to order from the place on principle and I encourage people to support the neighborhood and not to allow businesses who...
