Good Year — Restaurant in Jersey City

Not a good choice for Chinese food. Everyone inside looks like they are seconds away from committing suicide. Not a single smile from anyone. No greeting, no thank you. I asked nicely if they had any coupons on the menu I could take advantage of after just placing a $50 order, she looked at me like I just insulted her. I then asked would a free can of soda be out of question. Another lovely death look from her before saying "no we don't do that". Ok no problem.

Now about the actual restaurant. It's filthy! It smells like sewage. Everything is grimey and run down. The kitchen is gross. The employees look like they crawled out of a dumpster.

The food. Disgusting! Worst Chinese food I ever had. Didn't provide utensils, no napkins, no sauce packets, no fortune cookies... Nothing! What kind of Chinese restaurant doesn't give fortune cookies with every order?

Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. I honestly don't know how they are still...

I have an iron stomach and will eat anything. Except this. I had to throw the entire order away because it was essentially inedible. Every item I ordered was just really disgusting: flavorless and overly thickened soup (even the little crunchy noodles that come with were oily and soggy and bad), rangoons that were undercooked so the dough was just floury and gross, General Tsos chicken that was rock hard, and more but I dont have the energy to keep going, probably because I waited a really long time for my dinner only to have to toss it in the trash. Oh and no napkins, utensils, or the soda can that was supposed to come with my combo! I have had so much Chinese food over the years and even the bad Chinese is like, pretty ok. Not this. I've never rated anything like this before but I felt I had to...

Ok so, as far as chinese take out goes this place is the better chinese place on the avenue. By far the taste and quality of the food I have ordered here is much better than the other take out places in the heights. If you don't believe me just go to the other take out just at the end of that block on the corner and compare.

Now, as far as service. There might be a slight language barrier so maybe it causes some frustation on both side. Have patience.

You must also understand this is a no frills place so don't expect free this and free that. It's inexpensive food, if you need free stuff eat at home.

The actual place has never been dirty or smelled bad the times I have been inside. There are chairs and tables which are clean.

Overall, I prefer this place...
