Jack in the Box — Restaurant in Jersey Village

I ran into an issue this past visit. After waiting behind another customer who was advising their order was wrong, I ordered the Sourdough Melt special which is $4.99. The cashier - who wasn't in uniform - said my total would be $6.78. Well, I had recently ordered the same special & it was much lower. When I mentioned it should be $4.99+tax, the cashier told stated "that's just the sandwhich price"... Confused I handed her my card, told her that's not what's advertised, and she replied "sorry" then swiped my card. My receipt said "Srdgh Jack" which I knew wasnt right but figured like some fast food places maybe that's how its rung up... Nope. When she called my order #, it was a Jumbo Jack ON sourdough bread. I informed her it was wrong at the same time the manager walked over. The cashier actually tried to say I "wanted to change my order" after I clearly ordered the right meal AND brought to her attention the price before paying. I like that the manager was quick to correct the order, apologized, & refunded the difference. The cook personally walked the food to my table & also apologized for the inconvenience. Wow! My food took longer than usual so the young man who took my order who, by the way was uncommonly polite, upgraded my fries and gave me a dessert for my troubles. His genuine interest seemed to be excellent customer service/satisfaction and I was very pleasantly surprised to see this at a fast food restaurant, no less. It's good to see SOME parents are still instilling great morals, values and respect for others in their children! I did not get the gentleman's name as I hastily threw away my receipt when I was asked to pull forward to wait for my drive through order. But he deserves to be commended for his excellent customer service skills, manners, courtesy and politeness which is...sadly, rarely seen at many fast food establishments. I am truly thankful for his great attitude and service and I will definitely be coming back to dine there because of it and hopefully tell him personally how he's making a difference at that location!! I truly hope others (employees AND customers) will see the difference he is making there and I hope he influences them to rethink how they interact with others so they can emulate his great...

Took over 35 minutes for our order tonight and we didn't receive avocado sauce with our tiny tacos but we did receive 2 forks? Not sure why.... and we received ranch we didn't ask for... we ordered two burgers..Have no idea what the forks were for ... we were trapped in line and the workers acted like they were out of it. The line was empty because we sat at the ordering window for so long.... .. We sat at the window waiting to place our order for 20 minutes. Why were they prioritizing the two families eating indoors when the to go line is supposed to be faster. Why were we forced to be stuck in the to go ordering window for so long? That has never happened before in life. SO MANY STAFF WERE PRESENT WITH NO SENSE OF URGENCY???went inside to wait for the food as we sat in the car for 15 minutes..We were stuck and could not leave the drive through but there were several who ended up leaving after us driving off in frustration. There were staff on there phones and orders were taking...
