We stopped in for an early dinner after a Saturday matinee at the JRT. You place your order at the register and they bring it to your table. The four of us ordered vegetable fritters, deep fried mushrooms, fish & chips, Shepherd's Pie, and Bangers & Mash. I didn't care for the mushrooms, too much batter and a little overcooked. I liked the curry yogurt sauce but others didn't. The fritters were good. The diner gave the Shepherd's Pie an average 3 stars. The diner with Bangers & Mash also gave his dish an average 3 stars. I had fish & chips and thought they did a great job. The batter and serving size were good, and important to me both were served hot, crispy, and fresh from the fryer. The salad served along with it was a nice touch. The cashier and food runners were friendly and efficient. For my partner and I, the mushrooms, two fish & chips, a house red wine and a Guinness with a 20% tip totalled $65.18. I recommend you give it a try! Update 11/12/2025: Walked by over the weekend and saw a political flyer in the window from "No Kings" about supporting "immigrant families". I think it's poor judgement to put political signs at your business, especially woke BS in an area that's 70%...
Read moreA Wonderful little pub!👏 when you go in you get yourself two menus on the wall to the right of the bar, one for drinks one for food...decide what you want and then go up to the bar to order... We had the veggie fritters (sooo good!), shepherds pie & chiken pot pie both were fresh and delicious! We were pleasently surprised that our entre came with a salad!😋 We also loved their many beer & cider selections with the menu telling you about the color, country of origin and flavor! 🤔the only thing we thought off was the 🎶music playing, it didn't fit with the atmosphere of old world country pub. Food and drinks were exceptional and We'll...
Read moreGroovy little spot in a groovy little town. Had the fish and chips and the Ploughman’s Plate and both were excellent. Perfectly dressed salad and normal sized portions (appreciated) with excellently crafted house made dips and sauces. Vibe was welcoming and Brit-chic. Service outstanding. It’s pub fare with a pub feel. Great music and nice beer/cider/wine list, too. Highly recommend for a casual lunch or dinner. Bonus points that there’s great parking and just one block away (totally walkable!) is the Tennessee Hills Brewstillery where you can finish the night off with...
