My Husband and I had never been to Dominic's Casual Italian before and we wanted to try something new. When we walked in a man was sweeping the floor putting the swept up trash into the trash can and he was wearing latex gloves while doing this. What the problem was that he was doing this by the food sitting on the counter. The trash can was over flowing with trash and was very gross. The trash can was as tall as the counter by the way and it was open at the top so literally the trash was next to the counter.
When he was done sweeping I thought he would empty the trash and take off the gloves that he was using to protect his hands from the germs, you know cause he handles food and all. But no, he did not empty the trash he left it right there next to the food and no he did not take the gloves off. Instead he kept them on, but he did put the broom and dust pan back where it belongs, then took the rag draped over his left shoulder and wiped his sweaty face off with it and doing all of this next to the food sitting on the counter. Then he leaned over the counter where the food was to get his drink that was sitting behind the order screen next to the window where food is picked up from the cooks in the back. I stood there horrified and he looked at me with this look of “what lady?” like he is totally ok with what he is doing.
During the time I am witnessing this, a woman comes over to help us and my husband and her are talking about the specials are or whatever. Side note: we stood there waiting for someone to helps us for amount 5ish minutes. I was so distracted by what was happening with this guy that I didn’t hear anything they were talking about. My husband had to call my name a couple of times to snap me out of my trance of horror. When I finally looked over at him he could see something was wrong and he told the lady we will look over the menu and let her know. I walked straight out of that place saying “Nope”! But wait! It doesn’t stop there folks! When we got to the car my husband was still holding the to go menu and I looked down at the menu and notice there was mold on the menu! The food had been stuck on it for so long it turn to mold! Needless to say we are NEVER going there and I will advise anyone I know or ever talk to not go there. I don’t understand people, I...
Read moreI love this place. I always received great food until my last visit. The quality of chicken parm has drastically been reduced. My husband and I both joked it was slimmer and smaller than a Piece of sliced bread. Seriously it was! The breading had more substance than the chicken in between. The entire thing was about 1/4 inch thick! We usually get a chicken parm sandwich and we were thankful we didn’t because we would have only had bread and chips to eat. I told my husband there is more chicken in a chicken strip. We ate at DQ a day later and ordered a chicken strip basket, we continued to discuss how there was more chicken in a chicken strip than that entire chicken parm. Sorry Dominics thats when I knew I had to write a review. I love you, but its an expensive meal when quality isn’t there! Sadly we have seen the quality of the parm slowly change to smaller portions over the last year. However it finally hit a low! Yes, we left hungry for the first time ever! Sadly this is my favorite dish and I love the flavor, but I’m hesitant to spend my money if this is the new norm. This place is worth a try but Stick to the spaghetti with meat sauce and you cant go wrong! Or be bold and asked if they have gone back to their original level of quality of you really love...
Read moreThe food is okay. I ordered curbside pickup. First time ever eating there. Went for my lunch break. Pulled up and was placed on hold for 3 minutes. Told them I was there for a curbside. They brought it about 5 minutes later. Drove home to eat. Got home and realized I didn't have a side salad that I was supposed to get. After I ate I called to inform them. The boy that answered the phone was a bit impolite. Asked my name, told him what happened. He said that he will let them know and if I ever come back I will get a free side salad. He asked me if that was okay. I replied yes but how would they know just by name. I'm sure there alot of people with my name. His response to me was " I have your first and last name. I'm pretty sure not some random person is going to come in and want a free side salad and give us your name." Although that is very true, the way he said it was rude. Basically all I really wanted was just a confirmation on what he said about the salad. Which, it may seem like a little thing, the point is I paid for something I didn't receive and it almost feels like it doesn't matter. Needless to say, I will just "eat" the money and not the salad. I WILL NOT be going back. Probably not a big deal to Dominic's, but not a very good first impression for a...
