Restaurant Review: Gaia Masala and Burgers – A Vegan Paradise with Late-Night Hours!
Four days ago, when my friend and I were deciding where to eat, she suggested Gaia Masala and Burgers, raving about their vegan options and delicious food. I’m so glad she did! I ordered the vegan jackfruit cheesesteak sandwich, curly fries, and vegan momos. From the first bite, I was hooked—the sandwich was unbelievably flavorful, and the momos were perfectly seasoned, bursting with deliciousness.
Fast forward to today: when another friend asked where to meet for dinner, I didn’t hesitate—I had to go back! This time, I tried the vegan biryani and vegan roti. Not only was the presentation stunning, but the flavors were absolutely incredible. Every bite was a delight, rich with spices and perfectly balanced textures.
Beyond the amazing food, what truly sets Gaia Masala and Burgers apart is its warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff are kind, attentive, and genuinely care about their customers. And here’s the kicker—it’s open late every single night of the week! That’s almost unheard of and makes it the perfect go-to spot for a late-night meal.
I’m telling everyone about this place because I want to see this fantastic family-owned business thrive—and, selfishly, I want to keep coming back for more! If you love flavorful food, great service, and a place that truly values its customers, do yourself a favor and check out Gaia Masala and Burgers. You...
Read morewe LOVE this place!! from what we understand at the time or writing this (march 2025) it's super new, like less than a month old. literally my only complaint is pricing, we ended up spending $60 for two people to get kourma, tiki masala, and two things of fries (both of the mains come with rice though, so it's like a full meal). that said, they're new, I'm sure they have some expenses to get sorted after just opening. hopefully they get cheaper with time!
the food is wonderful, chose to come back for my birthday dinner. I got their chicken kourma, I think it has white raisins in it? it's good, I like the sweet pop, just wasn't expecting it. we have also had the tiki masala, and the tiki masala burger which my partner said was good and not just a gimmick food! I also really like their fries, they're the kind that have almost a thin crackly shell on them almost like a light batter with craggly bits.
portions are decent too, for kourma or tiki masala you get a full 16 oz container of it and then a slightly smaller portion of seasoned jasmine rice.
always been decently quick, 15 20 min wait. everyone has been so nice and friendly. seemed nice when dealing with order alterations. they're open until 3 AM!! they know their crowd, they're in Westport lol. I'll be back and I hope you'll be there too, so they...
Read moreSeriously the happiest I’ve been trying a new place in a long time. My girlfriend and I came in at 2:00am on a Monday on a whim - we’d seen this place a few times online but hadn’t made it in yet. I’m so glad we finally did because wow! I got the beef Philly Cheesesteak and garlic cheese naan, and my girlfriend got the Paneer Masala calzone and Baba Ganoush. Everything was seriously fantastic. The cheesesteak is done really uniquely in a fusion style that works just awesome, and the creamy house sauce they have is amazing, I want an entire jar of it. My girlfriend said repeatedly that her calzone was fantastic, which isn’t praise either of us give often. The baba ganoush was insanely good. We desperately needed another late night option in Kansas City which makes this place even better since they’re open so late, even on weekdays which is huge.
Also a special shout out to the staff working when we went who were seriously the nicest people ever and who you could tell truly wanted to make sure we were enjoying our experience. Also of huge mention to me are the huge serving sizes and good prices. I’m a big guy who doesn’t eat as often as he should, so I eat a lot when I do eat. I almost always leave places hungry but I didn’t hear, the sandwich was a great size and so was the side of...
