Loved the atmosphere inside and out . Great view of downtown . I have wanted to try Harrys CC for some time as I have a small collection of Country Club and Muehlebach Beer Stuff. We were shopping at Planters Seeds and were choosing between KC Taco and a never eaten at restaraunt . We very much like KC Taco, but Harrys got the win. I was surprised to see Very Little Country Club Beer Stuff visible inside , their logo was pretty much it . We picked a table outside and were immediately greated by a smiling but "short" waitress . ( my described her as disinterested or "put out") . I tried to make light conversation and she would have None of it . I ordered a beer with my sandwich and it never came. I went in to the bar and she was laughing with bartender and (manager?) ( so being " too busy" was not her issue ). One of the two men immediately brought out the beer in a 3.00 extra special NFL Draft cup which we had declined earlier . We asked it be taken off , but she took the itemized bill and I couldnt tell if she did or not. I paid the full bill, but this the first time I have not tipped in many, many years. My wife said that she was not impressed with the food, I was...

My wife had the chicken/mashed potato dish with green beans(don't recall the dish name) and I had the caprese sandwich. Both were completely underwhelming. The green beans were just boiled within an inch of their lives and soggy/faded green. They add butter and bacon or whatever, so it's not going to taste terrible but it looked like something out of a can that mom used to make after hurrying home after work. The chicken/potatoes were pretty bland as well.

My caprese sandwich(caprese salad is one of my favorite all time dishes) was also so so and was pretty small. Essentially it seemed like they tried to add flavor by just dousing it in balsamic vinegar to the point where the bread was soggy.

On the plus side, the outdoor patio was nice and our waiter was friendly, helpful and good at his job. No need to return unless we just happen to be strolling the river market area and need a patio for a beer or something.

I thought about 2 stars, but I reserve that for places where the food is just wrong/bad or the service is the same. This place was just bland/unremarkable but not bad. 1 star I reserve for "This is the worst pizza/mexican/fish/whatever in KC...

Tonight I came in with my husband for a night cap after work around 9:45pm. We walked in and it was a little slow so I checked to make sure they weren’t closed or closing soon (I hate to walk in 5 minutes before close because it’s the worst). Their sign said they close at 1:30am so we continued. We ordered cocktails and enjoyed them for about 15 minutes before the bartender called last call. We paid our bill. About 5 minutes after paying they turned up the lights. There was a gentleman beside us with a full beer who had not paid yet. A couple of minutes later the manager walks around the bar and says “We’re closed. Wrap it up.” I was so shocked I took my last sip and walked out. I work in hospitality professionally and I cannot imagine ever speaking to a paying guest like this. We were not drunk or loud and tipped 20%. If you don’t want to work until your advertised open time then don’t work in restaurants. If you decide to close early that’s fine but respect the paying customers who keep your restaurant running. NOT...

Old fashioned pub. I feel like I've stepped back in time with old wood paneling, black & white photos, 20-foot old style bar, and a juke box. The menu follows old style with country fried steak, country fried chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans (w/onions & bacon), chili, and cornbread. Unfortunately, the green beans that accompanied the country fried chicken came from a can. It seems with the abundance of fresh vegetables even in the winter months that they could have included fresh green beans. They have an interesting list of appetizers. I just didn't have tummy room to try them. This is a perfect place to bring a group and share a variety of their appetizers. I'm looking forward to a return visit and trying one of their "Late Breakfast"entrees (see online menu). The servers were all smiles and made me feel welcome.

My girlfriend and I were recommended this spot. I’m from out of town and not very familiar with the KC food scene but at this place, the atmosphere was friendly, service was good, and the food was tasty. Fair prices and a fun place to come. It reminds me a lot of one of my favorite gastro style pubs back home. The Rueben was good but barely had sauerkraut and the bread was sort of dry crunchy. Good meat and cheese amount and thousand island was just enough. The Mac and cheese was delicious and not too saucy or spicy. Just enough portions for both of us. I had a beer and she had a prickly pear margarita and they both were good.

I have heard about this place for years and just never seem to make it by. We decided to go right before the Bob Dylan concert, and it did not disappoint! The atmosphere was great. I wish I would have snapped some photos of the ladies restroom the photos were great! The decor was spot on with so much to look at and enjoy. The good was truly some of the best "bar" food I have had in a long time. The homemade chips and dip were so tasty and crispy and just cooked perfectly. We also had the city fried chicken, Buffalo chicken mac and cheese and fish and chips. Everything was great. We will be back for sure.
