I go here a lot and I’m sorry that I had to delete my positive review to acknowledge a rude staff member. I have never had problems bringing my dog to coffee shops & restaurants so long as he stays in his stroller, with the top zipped shut. This morning he was in his stroller with the top zipped shut, when I was asked for the first time ever if he was a service animal. Before I responded I was told to take him outside. I understand that it’s a threat to health codes to have dogs on leashes where they could contaminate things, but no coffee shops or restaurants I’ve visited with Toby have ever had issues with him being in a sealed container, until today. Overpriced and staff was not friendly. I ordered a medium Iced Carmel Macchiato and the lady behind the register said in a super snarky way (including an eye roll) "it's not like Starbucks, it's basically a latte". Well, if I wanted a Starbucks I would have gone across the street! But I try to support smaller businesses. I should have just walked out at that point. It cost me $7.59, even though the menu said $3.50. I understand an extra charge for oat milk, but I was charged for a shot of vanilla ($.90) AND another charge for the shot of Carmel ($.90)?? Great espresso with classy presentation. Lacking one star because sadly the eggs are not farm fresh. Sad, but delicious nonetheless. Would have been a three star, BUT the barista said gorgeous after I ordered. It made me smile. Delivering a smile to someone that early in the morning deserves an Oscar. Great location, which is why the expectations were high, if I had been downtown this would be a five, but it’s the plaza! Come on! I’m supposed to feel like I’m in Spain.
