Let me say I love Chedders. I don't eat out often but when I do I want Chedders and a Painkiller. I prefer the Sugarland location usually. But moving to Katy we decided to try this location.

Your hostess was rude and unprofessional. She's why you got two stars. I have never ever dealt with someone so ugly in heart. She didn't want to help me. Or put my name down for the wait. She said it would be a thirty minute wait. For a two top. Okay no big deal. But, she literally refused to take my name down or number until I was on the verge of coming for her head. Mind you I'm usually pretty calm and sweet to everyone. She needs to be retrained and taught how to be a hostess. I've done the job. Her attitude and rudeness wasn't warrented. Even on a busy Friday night. As front of the house I wouldn't want her to be the first thing my customers see.

Now, to Mrs. Bianca. Our waitress. She is truely a beautiful soul and person. She instantly picked up on my irritation and annoyance from the hostess without knowing why. She was quick to get us drinks and croissants. Even had a moment with a laugh with my mom and I. Our food came out about a minute later. Hot and correct. She checked on us multiple times always with her sweet and kind disposition. She deserves a raise and a promotion. She alone is why I will be back to your location. She is one of the best I have had at any establishment. Seriously, recognize her for her service that was everything we all hope for when we go out to eat. Mrs. Bianca thank you for being such a kind soul, and great at what you do. You are simply an angel.

Update: Aug 19, 2025- Mom had knee surgery. Booths are more comfortable and the more straight the path the better. Your hostess was a young boy. Maybe high school. He was great. Instantly pointed to the best booth for her. Seated us in Brittney's section. Y'all this women is so sweet and great at her job. Even with the power going out a few times. My son, who doesn't voice his opinion often, even said he liked her and wanted her next time. High praise from him. So if you see this you are a gem and we will be back to sit in your section again. Also major shout-out to the manager that remade momma's steak. She called you a rockstar. Spot on, medium rare, perfect seasoning. She didn't want to make a fuss and y'all instantly was ready to remake it without her saying anything. Y'all have won us back in the Katy location. We look forward to seeing y'all more. I only gave it 2 stars because of Mark M our server that was really trying to give us a good dinning experience even though he had all the odds against him. We were seated on a booth in the bar area. 840pm the Friday dinner rush had just slowed down. We we're ignored by just about every server in the bar area. They all passed by our table at least 4 times, and there was other waiters just chit-chatting with the bar tender, 15 minutes passed by and still no one had even bothered to stop by and even say I will be right with you. It wasn't until I got up and went to the hostess and asked her who our server was because it didn't seem like any of the servers in the bar area wanted to wait on us. Got back to the table a couple of more minutes passed by and one of the waitresses that passed by at least 5 times I guess was told to wait on us came by with a " I'm only waiting on this table because they told me so face" . She took our order and when asked if they had something they did for birthdays since it was my 5 year olds birthday and she was really excited to tell the waitress it was her birthday she simply gave us a blank stare and said no! After taking our order she walked away and 2 minutes later is when Mark introduced him self and said he was going to be taking care of us from that point on. I guess the other waitress really didn't want to wait on us. Mark had a great attitude even though it seemed like his section was all the way on the other side of the restaurant he still took great care of us except for the food taking 45 minutes to come out which was out of his control. I would understand if it was supper busy but I've been there when the line is out the door and my food has never taken more than 30 mins. To come out specially since I always get the chicken tenders. Other than with all the odds against him Mark did a great job. I wish I would of gotten the bad waitresses name. I've been going to this location for 3 years and I had never seen a waitress with such a bad attitude towards...

TO BE AVOIDED

I've never been one to hold Cheddar's to high standards as I typically know that I'll get what I pay for in terms of quality. However, last night was disgraceful and I, nor any of my family members will ever attempt to dine at this chain again.

My fiance called to place an order around 7:40 pm CST. Pressed "1" for the "to go" team and the server hung up. She called back assuming the call dropped. This time a person picked up only to place her on hold for ten seconds and hanging up yet again. We were driving to the location and passed the entrance in our dismay, so she called again as we circled back around. The same result as the initial call.

At 7:49 pm we turn in to the parking spot pictured and I proceed to call to place my order from my phone while my finance placed hers to the extremely courteous and noticeably busier Olive Garden adjacent to this apparently overwhelmed location. I received the same result as her initial call. On the second attempt (7:50 pm) a server answers! She may or may not have been a hostess but was unable to take my order, asked to place me on hold, listened to my full expression of what had been occurring previously, placed me on hold in spite of my refusal, and hung up after ten seconds yet again!

Throughout this time, there had been no cars in the curbside area. I can only but imagine what an ordeal actually receiving your food must be since the initial inclination is to hang up on would be patrons then place them on hold to hang up yet again. Good luck letting them know you're here.

I called a third time (7:54 pm) just to be certain and was hung up on for the final time. As my reviews go, I have to relate this experience to the customer service of Chic-fil-A. As you can already tell, it's deplorable here. Save yourself and go somewhere else, unless you have time to spare trying to place an order when things are not even busy....

Very disappointed with this restaurant, I went on Saturday evening as we were celebrating our special event me and my guest. 1. Got seated down and got provided with the croissants but no utensils had to wait [we ask the waitress and she finally bring them to us] 2. order our food and our food finally comes out my food is missing the steamed broccoli. Had to wait 7-9 min to get my waitress attention and i even used the machine to ā€œcall waitressā€ let her know I’m missing my broccoli she brings it out within 3 min after. 3. I order the steak with tenders and my two sides. My steak was medium-well. Just want to look at the pictures this don’t look like medium-well and i notice this halfway through my meal and stop eating since i didn’t want to get sick. 4. Not single refill in our drinks nor asked if we wanted any refill at all. 5. Waitress not attentive didn’t check on us 6. Wen we finally paying my guest wanted his receipt machine didn’t provide it and that kiosk machine never has paper 7. After finally paying for our food I asked to speak to a manager. Spoke to her about my issue and felt more humiliated. I let her know my experience told her I’m a guest come here twice a month due to love the drinks and the steak and also part of the e club provided by cheddars she replied with ā€œI’ve worked her for 15 years and i have never seen you in my lifeā€ I’m sorry what .? She just listen and said okay I’ll talk to her i have so many complains i have to and coach my staff on. I’m sorry but i myself worked in the fast food industry and that’s not the best way to handle and approach. What happen to people skills. Very disappointing will not be coming back. I know they don’t care for one less customer since you loose one you gain one. Other times I’ve come always good experience even when they were low In staff a while back the service was slow but the food and the staff was checking on us daily basis.

I ordered a 6oz sirloin steak medium cooked. First time it came raw, not even rare :(, only the outside was seared. Unfortunately I don’t have a picture of that but when I sent it back, I took a picture and again it was not medium. This also happened to another sirloin steak we had also ordered. So it happened with 2 steaks. I wanted the steak to work so bad because the T-bone steak was so delicious! Maybe it was my lapse in judgement to order steak from cheddars :(. I want to emphasize that the steaks were both refunded we just wanted to talk with the manager because we realized the T-bone steak was also raw near the bone, and we wanted a possible refund for that, but the manager informed us that it was normal, so we didn’t press for a refund (although the manager did say she was going to try and get us a refund, so kind!). We also didn’t press for a refund since we had already eaten it before we got to the bone and it was fine. However, it took long to get a manager, and we only talked to her when we were leaving (we asked twice for one at this point). The server did tell us the manager was busy, but the manager said it was the first time of her hearing this complaint, which led me to believe the server didn’t bother telling that specific manager (probably because the server didn’t wanna bother the manager). The server was so kind and extremely apologetic and I thank her for her attentiveness. Overall, 3 of us didn’t get to eat (the second sirloin steak was shared between 2 people), so the experience was subpar, unfortunately. Bread still delicious . Maybe I should’ve asked for more bread as compensation šŸ˜‚.
