Let me say I love Chedders. I don't eat out often but when I do I want Chedders and a Painkiller. I prefer the Sugarland location usually. But moving to Katy we decided to try this location.
Your hostess was rude and unprofessional. She's why you got two stars. I have never ever dealt with someone so ugly in heart. She didn't want to help me. Or put my name down for the wait. She said it would be a thirty minute wait. For a two top. Okay no big deal. But, she literally refused to take my name down or number until I was on the verge of coming for her head. Mind you I'm usually pretty calm and sweet to everyone. She needs to be retrained and taught how to be a hostess. I've done the job. Her attitude and rudeness wasn't warrented. Even on a busy Friday night. As front of the house I wouldn't want her to be the first thing my customers see.
Now, to Mrs. Bianca. Our waitress. She is truely a beautiful soul and person. She instantly picked up on my irritation and annoyance from the hostess without knowing why. She was quick to get us drinks and croissants. Even had a moment with a laugh with my mom and I. Our food came out about a minute later. Hot and correct. She checked on us multiple times always with her sweet and kind disposition. She deserves a raise and a promotion. She alone is why I will be back to your location. She is one of the best I have had at any establishment. Seriously, recognize her for her service that was everything we all hope for when we go out to eat. Mrs. Bianca thank you for being such a kind soul, and great at what you do. You are simply an angel.
Update: Aug 19, 2025- Mom had knee surgery. Booths are more comfortable and the more straight the path the better. Your hostess was a young boy. Maybe high school. He was great. Instantly pointed to the best booth for her. Seated us in Brittney's section. Y'all this women is so sweet and great at her job. Even with the power going out a few times. My son, who doesn't voice his opinion often, even said he liked her and wanted her next time. High praise from him. So if you see this you are a gem and we will be back to sit in your section again. Also major shout-out to the manager that remade momma's steak. She called you a rockstar. Spot on, medium rare, perfect seasoning. Ā Ā Ā Read moreI only gave it 2 stars because of Mark M our server that was really trying to give us a good dinning experience even though he had all the odds against him. We were seated on a booth in the bar area. 840pm the Friday dinner rush had just slowed down. We we're ignored by just about every server in the bar area. They all passed by our table at least 4 times, and there was other waiters just chit-chatting with the bar tender, 15 minutes passed by and still no one had even bothered to stop by and even say I will be right with you. It wasn't until I got up and went to the hostess and asked her who our server was because it didn't seem like any of the servers in the bar area wanted to wait on us. Got back to the table a couple of more minutes passed by and one of the waitresses that passed by at least 5 times I guess was told to wait on us came by with a " I'm only waiting on this table because they told me so face" . She took our order and when asked if they had something they did for birthdays since it was my 5 year olds birthday and she was really excited to tell the waitress it was her birthday she simply gave us a blank stare and said no! After taking our order she walked away and 2 minutes later is when Mark introduced him self and said he was going to be taking care of us from that point on. I guess the other waitress really didn't want to wait on us. Mark had a great attitude even though it seemed like his section was all the way on the other side of the restaurant he still took great care of us except for the food taking 45 minutes to come out which was out of his control. I would understand if it was supper busy but I've been there when the line is out the door and my food has never taken more than 30 mins. To come out specially since I always get the chicken tenders. I've never been one to hold Cheddar's to high standards as I typically know that I'll get what I pay for in terms of quality. However, last night was disgraceful and I, nor any of my family members will ever attempt to dine at this chain again.
My fiance called to place an order around 7:40 pm CST. Pressed "1" for the "to go" team and the server hung up. She called back assuming the call dropped. This time a person picked up only to place her on hold for ten seconds and hanging up yet again. We were driving to the location and passed the entrance in our dismay, so she called again as we circled back around. The same result as the initial call.
At 7:49 pm we turn in to the parking spot pictured and I proceed to call to place my order from my phone while my finance placed hers to the extremely courteous and noticeably busier Olive Garden adjacent to this apparently overwhelmed location. I received the same result as her initial call. On the second attempt (7:50 pm) a server answers! She may or may not have been a hostess but was unable to take my order, asked to place me on hold, listened to my full expression of what had been occurring previously, placed me on hold in spite of my refusal, and hung up after ten seconds yet again!
Throughout this time, there had been no cars in the curbside area. I can only but imagine what an ordeal actually receiving your food must be since the initial inclination is to hang up on would be patrons then place them on hold to hang up yet again. Good luck letting them know you're here.
I called a third time (7:54 pm) just to be certain and was hung up on for the final time. As my reviews go, I have to relate this experience to the customer service of Chic-fil-A. As you can already tell, it's deplorable here. Save yourself and go somewhere else, unless you have time to spare trying to place an order when things are not even busy....
