My husband and I just went to Lozano's for the first time. We moved to Katy in November and I was super excited to try a new spot. We thought it would be perfect timing to try it on Cinco de Mayo. We get sat and the table next to us were getting their drink orders taken. Then the waitress comes to our table (we were her 4th table). I order a margarita on the rocks with salt. It comes frozen with no salt. No biggie...she fixes it. We put our food order. He orders chicken fajita enchiladas with queso sauce. I order chicken fajita enchiladas with red sauce. 45 minutes later our waitress apologizes and says our food is almost ready. (By this time the couple next to us who had ordered at the same time as us had already received their food, eaten, paid and left).15 more minutes go by and I ask her if our food is almost ready. She looks at me startled and says "let me go check!". She comes back about a few minutes later. You could tell the plates had just been sitting under the lamps....the sauce was dried out on the enchiladas. By this time it had been almost an hour since we had ordered. My enchiladas had beef fajitas instead of chicken. She tells me, "But you said beef. " I said, "No, I ordered chicken enchiladas". She doesn't say a word to me and takes my plate. She comes back 5 minutes later and puts my new plate down without saying a word and walks away. My plate was lukewarm at best. But I ate it. We get the bill and pay. She returns with the correct itemized receipt but the paper where we tip and sign has a completely different amount from our receipt and a different person's name at the bottom. We told her she had given us the wrong paper to sign. She asks for our card back and disappeared. Upon her return I asked her if she ran our card twice to which she replied. "No, I didn't run your card the first time." By this time I was fuming. We will definitely check to see if it charged twice and we will...
Read moreI chose this place based off many fb recommendations. That was an extreme mistake on my part. I should have read not only the reviews but the restaurant's responses to said reviews. I typically will not waste my time on establishments that cannot take constructive criticism or feedback with grace. The chips were the best thing my husband and I were given unfortunately. The service is lack luster, the salsa is strange to put it lightly. The "carne guisada" is definitely something I have never tasted before tonight. The meat was tender however, but I can't understand the ingredients chosen for the dish. I think it should be named something else that suits it better. Not to mention the prices were a bit extreme for what was served. Overall our experience was not a very pleasant one when there are so many other options for dining on the area.
Edited to add: I didn't have any issue with wait time, that was not a problem. When I said the service was "lack luster" I meant just that, we got what we ordered/ asked for but there was nothing special or memorable about our dining experience. We still tipped 20% although we were not impressed with service or food because our waitress was a young girl and though she didn't smile once, she still did her job. Secondly, we asked for the to go box because any time we don't eat the food we purchase, we leave with the homeless instead of letting it get thrown into the garbage. I didn't say the salsa wasn't fresh, I said it was strange and by that, the taste of it was extremely different than any salsa either of us had before and was not good in our opinion. Your response was the exact response I was expecting since reading your other reviews. Please humble yourself and take feedback from customers...
Read moreSo very disappointing. We arrived early for dinner on Cinco de Mayo to celebrate a birthday with our party of 4. Only two other tables occupied so glad they were not busy at 5pm. My party ordered two lemonades that were so nasty I'm not sure what was in it but it was not lemonade...tasted like water and a cleaning solution...my daughter spit it out so I tasted it....and it was disgusting. We exchanged for water. I had read the margaritas were the best here so I was surprised to taste mine.....it was not good and I asked for their "top shelf" tequila but it tasted like cheap tequila. 36 minutes later our food arrived and it was not good either....it took awhile to get our food so we ate chips that desperately needed some salt and the salsa was different not red salsa but watery, greenish salsa and we didn't care for. I ordered crispy tacos...I mean you can't screw up that, right? They were very dry and tasteless...cheese was extra and as well as sour cream. The rice was dry too...it tasted like it was a day old reheated again. My son ordered chicken fajitas and they gave him 2 tortillas...he needed 3. He asked for another tortilla and we were charged $1.95!?! We already paid $18 for the fajitas....plus he said they weren't good, the chicken was chewy. Our waitress never came back once after taking our food order...we waited and waited, had to go to the bar to get our check. All working were not friendly....no one smiled once. My advice...go somewhere else since they clearly do not appreciate...
