Absolute worst experience I have ever had at a Whataburger!!! The next time the company decides to run a Lainey Wilson Free Honey Butter Biscuit promo I hope they realize locations like this can’t handle it!! I pulled into parking drive thru at 10:40am to get one of these free promo breakfast sandwiches. There drive thru was like a parking lot, with no cars moving which told me either they didn’t prepare, and inside they can’t keep up. Instead of using common sense and having them tell cars to pull out of the drive thru so they could walk the orders out when ready (like Chick Fil A does) - this location instead kept the drive thru backed up! I finally got to the drive thru speaker (after sitting in drive thru line starting at 10:40) and 11:04am!!! 24 minutes to move up to the speaker. When I get to speaker I say “hi I would like the Lainey Wilson chicken biscuit promo” and I was told sorry breakfast ended at 11am!!! I then proceed to explain I have been sitting in their backed up not moving drive thru line for over 20 minutes and that I was indeed there before 11am. I was basically told by the very rude manager Dwight “breakfast stops at 11”. I asked can they honor the promo on something else…anything else…considering I had been sitting in their going nowhere drive thru 24 minutes. I was told “no”. They were none apologetic, and acted like they could care less. Dwight was the rudest person I have ever spoke with in a fast food restaurant ever. No professionalism at all. No offer of something else, no coupon for a future visit, no nothing. I told them check their security cameras to see how long I had been sitting in drive thru. Didn’t matter he wasn’t hearing it, and just kept coming back with his rudeness to me. Their parking lot was packed, their drive thru was packed, and no one was moving or walking out. Back door to building was wide open which makes me wonder about how sanitary they are. Clearly they were not ready to handle today’s Lainey Wilson promo!! This Whataburger and their management are terrible! If you want Whataburger do yourself a favor and drive two exits up and go to the Mason Road location. If you are on Fry Road like I was be smart and go to Chick Fil A. They are organized, professional, appreciate their customers, and know how to stay organized when there are lots of customers and promos running! Gloves touching body, hair in my salad, the manager didn’t even come and talk about the situation to clarify that it won’t happen again, no apology, nothing, they remade the salad but that was the bare minimum. I have both food safety manager certificates and I can promise you, this place should be shut down and I hate to say that because I used to come here every night for the shake and biscuit with egg and cheese. Ecolab needs to pop in on them around 1pm, they would be closed. Nobody speaks Spanish here, nobody is doing anything right, there is trash visible from the front counter, people touching food items with bare hands, people touching cash with gloves and not removing the gloves, are they also handling food?!? And all these things are being done slow and deliberate. I waited 20 minutes for a salad when the chicken is in a hot holding container and the salad is in the fridge. I do this stuff for a living, so I wouldn’t usually leave a bad review but the hair and the salad being wrong and the egg being missing, and the manager being rude, that was where it was a problem. Read moreDON’T COME TO THIS WHATABURGER!!!!! You’re better off driving to the pin oak one! I ordered online after 10pm for a 10:15 pick up and put the drive thru option. I pull into the drive thru at 10:15 exactly and they told me I needed to come inside. I go inside and show them that my online order said drive thru and they said sorry can’t do that. I waited till 10:45 and still had not received my food when my bag of food was literally sitting right behind the counter and every employee just ignored it. While I was waiting I watched the MANAGER lady mess up a guys order 3 freaking times and mislabeled so many orders. Finally after the 30 mins of waiting and after they did all the other orders she comes up to me and asks for my name again for the THIRD time and starts looking around and I said “I’m pretty sure it’s the only bag sitting right there”. She walks over to it and was like yep that’s you and hands it to me and I take every item out to make sure she didn’t get mine wrong too. Very very unprofessional. Very rude. Very unorganized. Needs new management for real. I’m not one to complain but that was an awful experience and isn’t the first time this has happened...
