I worked in food service for a long time, it takes a LOT for me to complain, never mind write a review. This was one of the worst meals I’ve ever had.

For starters, the table was swarmed with fruit flies. Service was extremely slow despite us being the only table in the restaurant. The ā€œchips and dipā€ came out as store bought tortilla chips with melted shredded cheese on top, lettuce, grey guacamole, and black olives.

We ordered beef and shrimp fajitas. The beef was not fajita, but some kind of stir fry meat, the shrimp were incredibly overcooked, and there was an assortment of random vegetables with the fajitas like cauliflower, broccoli, carrots, and orange slices for some reason?? The marinade tasted of pre-packaged generic Asian food that you might get from the frozen section of the grocery store. The tortillas were listed as flour on the menu but what came out was corn. All of this was topped with more grey guacamole.

There’s no antibacterial soap in the bathroom, just a giant bottle of dish soap.

We finally asked for the check when I found a hair in my shrimp and a fruit fly landed in my beer. We sent back full plates and no one asked if anything was wrong. $90 tab and we had to stop at McDonald’s on the way home because everything at Chico’s...

I've lived most of my life in the Southwest. As the likelihood of finding good Mexican food diminishes the farther one gets from Mexico, I had my doubts about Chico's.

I tried it because the place down the street costs close to double. Upon entering, I was impressed by the murals on the walls, Mexican music and the overall ambience. I was greeted by an actual Latina with a Mexican accent.

I ordered the #3 - two cheese enchiladas with beans and rice. Muy rico! A few days later I returned with a friend who's from Mexico, who also enjoyed his meal (#19, I believe).

They have three beers on tap. The only improvement I can suggest would be to offer margaritas, or at least margaritas in a can.

This Arizonan recommends this casual sit-down restaurant without reservations (see what I...

This is the best restaraunt in Ketchikan. The owner came from Mexico and opened the restaraunt 30 years ago. Their English isn't the best but their food IS! Chico and his wife Patricia are dedicated to providing food of a higher standard for their customers. Care goes into every detail of this TRULY authentic cuisine. It's not a big place nor is it very fancy, but I have truly never eaten better Mexican food in my life. My mind is boggled by the 2 bad reviews I read here but I suppose no1 can please everyone. Do yourself a HUGE kindness and go have a simple burrito or enchilada at Chicos NOW! Oh and the pizza is very good as well... I just prefer their cultural...

I have come here for lunch twice now, and I can say that both experiences have been very good. The service is pleasant, they take your order quickly and everything arrives in good time even if it's busy. I noticed that they changed the menu, they reduced it to suddenly be faster, which is good. The portions are excellent and taste great, just like home-cooked food. It's a shame they don't have original drinks but it's understandable given the location. If I have the opportunity to go back, I will. It is a warm environment despite being small, they always keep it clean.

This place was terrible. I've never seen guacamole that color in my entire life. It didn't even taste like there was avocado in it. Tasted like cream or mayo, something wasn't right. The store bought bag of tortilla chips was an immediate indication I made a big mistake coming here. Chicken bone just chilling in my enchilada. Also, there was no hand soap in the restroom, which is a huge red flag. Not even an empty bottle, just non existent. I typically don't write many reviews even when I should, but I can't not say anything this time. This place was BAD.
