If it was possible to put 0 stars, I definitely would. Not only was it terrible customer service, but they were extremely racist. I couldn't even consume what I purchased of how disgusted I felt because of the way I was treated. Pulling up to the cash register, the man didn't even greet me and my cousin, he automatically asked the two WHITE ladies behind me if they were there before us.... automatically assuming we skipped when we sure as hell didn't. Just from this I was already taken aback... but it's okay I let it slide without saying anything. Then he proceeded to be extremely rude to my cousin who had a big order and told my cousin to "just give it all at once" but this man was actually the one who'd leave after my cousin said 1 thing that he wanted. "Oh I'd like a milkshake" he'd leave to go make it. "Oh I'd like a cookie" goes to go get it. He could've just stay put and written down everything my cousin was going to order. He was very nasty and aggressive and rude. Then the other lady working there SKIPPED ME to take care of the two other WHITE ladies. Incredible. After they finally acknowledged me and I payed, the man asked me for my ID. I asked him why and he said because I'm paying for a credit card. I was like no sir this is my debit and I even put in my pin. He still insisted on seeing my ID to "make sure it's really you." Did I look like some kind of crook to him? I cannot even describe with words how terrible this experience was. I was shaking and my heart has never beat so fast. When I tried to address the issues he didn't even want to listen and automatically cut me off half way and said "see you later m'am" after he had told the other two WHITE ladies "have a great day ladies, thank you for your patience" in the sweetest manner with the warmest smile! Crazy how people like this still exist and how they really don't consider the feelings of other people. I am completely dumbfounded. I told him he was a racist and then proceeded to call the cops on me. For what? I payed for my food. I showed him my ID when I didn't need to because I was paying with my debit card. I didn't throw the ice cream to his face (like he deserved it) I threw it away in the garbage. And this guy was the manager he says! INCREDIBLE. I almost started crying, I couldn't believe this...
Read moreReview Update: Thanks for the quick response from the attentive owner. We were at the Duval location without the apparent signage. I'm updating my overall review to 4 stars and the service to 4 stars.
We visited on a Tuesday night in late December 2024 (Christmas eve). I'm hoping this just happened to be the employee B crew. We saw the menu on the wall and it said cookies were $7. We ordered the Peanut Butter Fudge Cookie sitting with all the other cookies. Went to checkout and it said $12 + tax and they asked for tip... To put the cookie into a bag? I paid without paying much attention until my wife pointed out that the menu says $7. When we asked, the two employees looked at each other, shrugged, and said it must be the tax for using credit card... huh? From $7 to $12... I'm not sure how much tax is but that was insane. They did not provide me or ask if I wanted a receipt.
After we left with our $14 cookie my wife went to their website and saw that the Peanut Butter Fudge Cookie actually had an up charge and cost $10 online and not $7. Which is fine if it was advertised that way but there wasn't a sign anywhere. Then we wonder why we were charged $12 before tax and tip! By this point we were done and it was so crowded and loud in the store, I wasn't going to go back to argue to get my refund.
Just a life lesson to make sure you double check your bill before paying for anything. I thought a single cookie would've been a simple transaction but nope.
The lack of transparency and the clueless responses and looks from the employees just left a bad taste in our mouths. I gave the service 3 stars at least because they weren't angry or belligerent about it. They honestly looked like clueless teenagers and you can take that for what it's worth.
There were plenty of other options on Duval Street, I don't think I'll be coming back here again. The cookie itself was fine. Nothing to...
Read moreWhen you think that you are going to a great place to enjoy your vacations after LONG periods of time WORKING ....... Well .... not ALL in Key West is awesome. After a beautiful day at the beach and eating all around town spending decent amount of money here and there with some friends. We decided to go to this place for some ice cream. And o boy, we were in for a BIG disappointment. The person that was taking our order (male), did NOT great us, like usually any BUSSINES do (and I am not saying, he has to kiss my but), well ..... but this man seems to be stressed out, VERY RUDE, and disrespectful. It seems like he doesn't WANT to be there ( I don't know, maybe girlfriend issues, boy friend issues, who knows). I think THIS place need to REPLACE workers like this one, bad for business. After all this, I asked a girl that work at this location, that I wanted to talk to the person IN CHARGE of this place, to explain my experience here. You know WHO the MANAGER was? The same ASS HOLE I just had an encounter with. Very sorry and disappointed here. I JUST "HOPE" THAT THE OWNER OF THIS PLACE "CHECK" REVIEWS OF HOW HIS COMPANY IS DOING, FROM TIME TO TIME. At least this group is NOT LONGER coming here every time we come to this beautiful town. SO FAR, ALL GOOD, EXCEPT THIS PLACE, and we have 15 more days to go. WE very much rather go to Publix for ice cream,...
