I’m not even sure where to begin with this review. Vicky and the Hemingway staff were the best, most professional people I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. Not just for my wedding, but throughout my life. Any time I reached out to Vicky, no matter what time or day of the week it was, she responded promptly with all the info I needed. Destination weddings can be more difficult due to the fact that you are not able to meet your vendors/try out whatever you’re looking to book before the actual wedding. With Vicky, this was not the case... she made me feel totally at ease throughout the entire thing and recommended the most amazing vendors that fit our needs based on what I told her her we envisioned for our wedding.
Once the day finally came, it was nothing short of perfect. The grounds are BEAUTIFUL and with Vicky’s experience she made the entire event go so smoothly and everything looked flawless. It was better than anything I could’ve dreamed of. I didn’t know much about wedding planning or even which venue would be best for us when I first started looking - and I can say with 200% certainty if you book at the Hemingway they will exceed your expectations. I feel so lucky that we found them and that we were able to experience their EXCEPTIONAL services. If you choose to work with Vicky and the Hemingway Home staff, I guarantee you will not be...
Read moreThe wedding planner Caitlyn I believe is her name simply did not care. The chairs were spaced so close together that my husband and I were unable to walk down the aisle side-by-side. This was my daughter‘s wedding the same thing happened when he was walking her down the aisle. If the Wedding planner told us there would be no waters or access to water there I would have provided waters. My daughter chose to get married in July and we knew it would be hot. Her matron of honor is pregnant and when I asked for a water for her because she felt like she was going to faint, I simply got a shrug of the shoulders from the wedding planner and was told no water I went across the street to the hotel that my daughter and her husband was staying in for the night and got a water for her. The mulch on the side of the brick where the ceremony occurred desperately needed to be replaced. I noticed that in less than one minute and I would think a wedding planner would notice that prior to a wedding.Again, when I asked shrug have shoulders from Wedding planner and was told no it cannot be replaced. please take note if you’re getting married there in the summer have someone in the Wedding party bring waters and...
Read moreIf you want a "wow" factor to your wedding or event, this is the place for you. Our wedding at the Hemingway Home was absolutely perfect—better and more beautiful than we'd even imagined. When we realized we could in fact get married on the grounds, we didn't even look at other venues. Our guests were so excited about attending a wedding at such a beautiful and historic site, and planning the evening with the location and grounds in mind was so fun. The gorgeous gardens and backdrop of the home took a lot of pressure off of us to overspend on florals and decorations because we knew it needed very little to be a showstopper. On the actual day of the wedding, the staff had all the zones beautifully set up and our wedding planner Ralphie took care of every detail to make it a stress-free, perfect evening that we were truly able to be present for and enjoy. We can't say enough about how perfect and well executed the day truly was, and how all the vendors made the experience seamless for us and our guests. Being able to say that we were married at the Hemingway Home is something we will consider an honor for the rest of our lives, and every guest we spoke to said that it was the best wedding they'd...
