I think they have every ingredient they need for a really awesome place! Great, helpful staff, lots of fun flavors, a signature dish, simple, straightforward building with relatively fair prices, and a great theme. But the ice cream itself is really disappointing. The biggest problem by far is the texture: it’s not very smooth, it’s kind of thick and uncomfortable in your mouth, but most of all, it feels super cheap. It also doesn’t have strong flavor - they have fun flavors overall, but I don’t think they execute it all very well. You don’t get a strong sense of what flavor it is in every bite, you often need many bites to piece together what they’re trying to give you. And it also felt like the add-ins were not as abundant as I hoped. One upside is that they have a pretty good creaminess down that lingers in your mouth nicely, but it doesn’t really fix any of the other huge problems. But man, I hope they can improve, cause this is a cool spot that could become total...
Read moreThe front counter was very rude, one of the boys yelled aggressively at a little girl no older than 5 for touching the chalk board when her parents were already correcting her. After he screamed at her the store got very quiet and I completely lost my appetite, not to mention they lacked ice cream flavors. Awful Customer Service, completely lost my respect. I recommend Big Bucks instead, much better treatment of customers.
Edit: I’m glad you’re an owner that cares about their workers but this is something you should handle. The child was not unattended, there was 9 people in the facilities with her. Your staff member raising his voice to her in an RUDE AGGRESSIVE manner was completely uncalled for. If they can’t learn how to speak to YOUNG children then maybe they shouldn’t work the front counter. There was many ways this could have been avoided, such as asking nicely or simply apologizing to the girls parents who were already handling the...
Read moreI was very excited after reading the rave reviews and reading that the shop makes their own ice cream with unique flavors. I am always on the hunt for outstanding local foods. We ordered a scoop of bourbon fig and a waffle cone with a scoop of West 3rd ( coffee, espresso, hazelnut) the waffle cone was stale, small, and store bought- the West 3rd ice cream tasted like store bought coffee ice cream with instant ground coffee beans mixed in. The texture was grainy was from the coffee beans, and I couldn’t taste even a hint of hazelnut . Off/putting texture, Meh taste, bad cone and very over priced. The fig / bourbon ice cream was also strange. It was dark like chocolate ice cream base , you could taste the alcohol but not the fig. It tasted like cheap chocolate grocery store ice cream that had a speck of dried fig and some kind of alcohol folded in. Not good and grossly over priced . I am very disappointed in this product. The service was...
