17th Street Surf Shop — Local services in Kill Devil Hills

I have shopping here in the KDH store many times, the young man who was there at this visit, answered all my questions, was friendly and just as the young woman who usually I've seen when shopping there customer service skills were great, comfortable and laid back atmosphere. I love being able to purchase the buy 1 get 1 half off 17th street tees' and having grandchildren now, it saves money and they love the styles offered. Not much for youth age, ( 8-14yr ) but I've discovered that a small mens will fit nice on a average size 13 year old. Hoping more for more inventory for the upcoming Holiday Season .. keep up the good service * ( if I could offer any suggestions, it would be coupons or maybe even a local discount, would be nice, and encourage customers to purchase more than the 17th street shirts, as other items are a bit pricey "and off season the locals are what keeps this store afloat til tourist season May- September, being such a isolated area off season, its just a thought.. love the quality of the tees and I'll keep shopping but would buy even more if...

Saw all the signs on the doors asking customers to stay safe and wear masks so obviously my husband and I were glad to see a company support keeping others safe and healthy. Upon walking in, not one of the (at least) 6 employees were wearing their masks, all of them had them pulled down under their chins. We were not greeted and it almost seemed that us coming in to the store at 3pm was an inconvenience to them. They continued to have their personal conversations and play on their phones. Not once did anyone working there talk to us or ask if we were finding everything ok. They weren’t biased tho, I noticed they wouldn’t speak to or greet any customer in the store. I was greeted when walking in by Bryson at the OBX location (sorry if I am misspelling that). Bryson went above and beyond to help me with tracking down a very specific Odysea surfboard I've been looking for. They didn't have it in stock, however, he called the other shops and put me in touch with the inventory manager (Bob - sorry if that's not the correct title). Bob called me back and said their Virginia Beach store had it in stock and they held it for me until I was able to go in person and get it. I picked it up and was extremely happy with this customer service. Bryson definitely has a heart for people so I really appreciate all of y'all's help.
