Missy's Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Kokomo

This is a quaint little place and and if you get your food the way you ordered it it’s pretty good. We ordered our beverages first, she brought back the wrong drinks. When the food came dad’s over medium well eggs were over easy. He asked for them to be cooked a little bit more. The waitress took his plate to a lady behind the counter and after a short discussion took the plate back to the kitchen. Some time passed and I noticed a plate sitting on the counter. A bit later the other waitress pointed out the plate to our waitress. She brings it back and puts it down and hurries off again. This time the eggs were over hard and dry. He said something about the new eggs and I offered to have them sent back several times (twice while the waitress was standing right behind him at the register. She ignored us until I asked dad where the restroom was. She answered me immediately so I knew she was listening. He gave up and ate about half of them instead of sending them back again. Meanwhile, we traded the other items that were put on the wrong plates. We will try again but will ask for the other waitress. This one obviously didn’t care if she took an order correctly or not. The place was pretty clean and the restrooms were not bad. A really nice thing about this it had a nice aroma rather than the smell...

TL;WR: Drinks: good, nothing special. Food: astoundingly well made, 10/10. service: staff is nice, nothing special. atmosphere: I mean its alright ig.

total review- starting off with drinks: I usually get either a coke or a root beer and both are as good as they get. The staff haven't gotten any drink orders wrong (so far but I don't expect any to come) and the drinks were nice and cold. Secondly, Food: I'm not a regular so I haven't tried many of their food items but their fries & burgers are made real well, hot and ready. I've never gotten a wrong food dish either which just adds to my awe, I have also tried their BLT which should not be on this planet, second only to jimmy john's- nay! Rivaling!- JJ. Thirdly, Service: The service is great, they have never gotten my orders wrong and/or cold. Staff is very nice and asks where I want to sit but not astounding IMO. Once again, service is great but I haven't had a "special" encounter. Overall, very nice. Fourthly, Atmosphere: TBH the atmosphere is kinda mid, nothing really special about it, all I mean is that it could use some work, but it doesn't stop you from having a good experience. Final remark: 8/10 would...

This place is busy, like most places that serve breakfast. They need more space at this location. Our food was good and served hot, but the coffee is terrible. They definitely need to upgrade their grind. The portions of food on our plates was sufficient so that you left quite full! Our server was nice, but we only saw her once, until it was time to bring the check... we had to flag someone down to refill our waters after several minutes of waiting for her to check on us. There is no real atmosphere in this place, it is darker than it needs to be, there is a lot of dust on the decorations on the walls, and the corners. We were seated next to the windows in front by the door (probably the worst seats in the house), the constant door opening and closing was unpleasant....they should consider taking out the two-top table in that space and move entry divider over to give those entering and leaving the restaurant a little easier path, especially for the wait staff that has to go in and out of that entrance to take care of folks in the outdoor...
