32 days from today , I went to buy a side arm from your lake Charles, Derek Dr.location. as always with all my other arms, I had to fill out the Federal papers and wait because I have two middle names and that ALWAYS cause's a wait. The management was given my phone number and email for contact when my paperwork went through. As of yesterday, I called 4 times and every single time I could not get any help. But the management on this location was really sweet. She was a women that I can't recall the name of. But the sporting goods management was rude, treated me like a criminal, and could not even find my application. As a parent of 4 and a avid fishermen and hunter I am very disappointed and disgusted with the service of this department. I have called and emailed the Federal government website and my name is clear. So like I said, I called again and same thing. He said quote " maybe you are a felon and cant own a gun". First and foremost, he has no reason or business in making that kind of accusation. And since your employees have no time for me. Then I will NOT be spending my 1000 dollars for school like we always do at ANYof your stores. I would rather spend more and get treated fairly then give money to a company that hires such rude and disrespectful employees. Me and my family will never spend my hard earned money at any stores. After several weeks of calming down I can now find the time and energy to accurately reflect on the last time I went to this store. Usually (in the past) I have had decent even pleasant experiences with this location. Until the day when I wanted to purchase yet another firearm from this retail store, and decided to excersie my GREATEST efforts remain calm as to not cause a scene. While standing in line with my wife, we waited while another patron finalized his purchase of several pistols (possibly 4). The clerk opened the box on top and presented the firearm and proceeded to "clear" it by racking the slide in my exact direction several times with the muzzle pointed directly at my wife and I. I was literally looking down the barrel! Now if this weren't enough to shame the situation, when I asked to speak to the store manager to alert them of the situation, he tried to deny the event! Now we all know there are hundreds of cameras in that small area alone! My suggestion was for the manager to review the footage and share it with all employees who will be trained to work in that department on what NOT to do! I was assured that he would be doing this, but I am not sure if I really got my point across ... I left the store after this event not making a single purchase for what I even went in there for, and decided to not enter the store again since then. I know people will make mistakes, I understand that, but don't try and "crawfish" like it didn't happen. Own it! Learn from it!...

I bought a safe at the lake Charles academy. It's a 64 +7 gun safe. Big and heavy. I had to pick it up and load it by myself as 3 young men who got it outside watched me struggle for 20 mins. I had to coordinate 4 of my friends to come help me get it in the house. There was no packet in the box. I cannot get in my safe. Academy's solution was for me to call the manufacturer and deal with it myself. They want to charge me $30 for a packet that I should have gotten in the first place. I was there this morning trying to get my packet but that didn't happen. 1 hrs and asking 4 different employees to get me the manager and I never saw it spoke to him (director). I feel Academy should be paying for the packet. Only thing the directosaid was bring it back and we will refund your money. Never spoke to me nor tried to help me. The director and his management staff are a joke. I will never shop there again and they really don't care . If it was so heavy and hard to move I would drop it off at the front door but it took 4 guys to get in in the house and in place . I now have a safe I purchased 3 days ago and haven't been able to get in it and will be another 14 days before I get anything that will open my safe. They didn't offer me aything to compensate for their failures and incompetent employees. Way...
