Of note - I’ve deleted my previous review of this restaurant to reflect my new review based on new ownership.
This Rosati’s location closed down several mo the ago and recently reopened with new owners. Myself and many others in the community were excited to see it had reopened.
I was able to stop in to get a to go order last night. I decided to get an old favorite, the jalapeño poppers with marinara and an order of lasagna.
I took it home and opened the poppers first. The marinara had a slightly off taste but I couldn’t put my finger on what was different. Then I opened the lasagna and garlic bread.
This is where I’d like to remind that this is a chain restaurant so I’d think that the food is as close to the same across locations as is possible. I’ve eaten at a few different Rosati’s and it’s been in line with that thinking.
So the garlic bread looked different but I didn’t make a full judgment until I’d had a few bites. It’s different. Dry. Super crispy. Not much flavor. Not the usual soft, chewy and covered in garlic one that I’m used to. Then the lasagna. This is where it ended. It looked like the usual portion and the sauce amount and grated cheese on top looked normal. It had a slightly unusual smell. Then I took a bite and I was very confused. Something tasted very very unusual. Nothing I’ve ever tasted before and certainly not a taste I’d expect in my lasagna. I then took a couple more bites before I decided I just couldn’t do it. The filling was full of a bright green herb that I can’t even pinpoint. It was an overwhelming uncooked fresh herbaceous taste. Overpowering. And it’s not an ‘Italian’ seasoning. It was something else. Not oregano, basil, thyme or anything even close. It almost reminded me of Mediterranean or Greek or something. I really tried to figure it out and couldn’t. I’ve eaten many lasagna in my life but never anything like this. So then I thought well I’ll just pick through and eat some of the cheese and pasta. I couldn’t even do that. The smell was so strong and the taste was lingering. I ended up throwing it all away minus the few very small bites I had.
Based on the marinara sauce having an off taste and then the lasagna being the worst I’ve ever eaten in my life I really don’t think I’ll go back and see if anything else is as expected. I’m pretty sure I’m done here. We’ve got a few selections in town that have similar offerings depending on which item I’m hungry for so I think I’ll stick with those. That’s really too bad too, Rosati’s is a...

I have had a horrible experience with this establishment. I vacationed in Wisconsin Dells this past weekend and ordered 2 pizzas from this location on Saturday (8/3/19) around 8:30 PM, I waited about 1.5 hours for the pizzas to arrive and attempted to call the store but there was no answer. I took a drive to the store to find that the power was out for a portion of the town which included the store, I understood that this was out of their control and only asked that my credit card be refunded the charges for the pizza since I paid over the phone for delivery. The owner (He said he goes by "Al") assured me that the card would not be processed since the power went out and that I had nothing to worry about (The charge only showed as pending on my account at this time). Tuesday arrives and I see that the charge for the pizza is no longer pending but shows as completed and is funded via my account. I subsequently call the store only to be told that no one at the store could process my request and that I will be called back, I never received a call back and proceed to call the store on Thursday, Friday, and Sunday as well only to be told that someone will contact me but no one ever does. Today (8/12/19) I called the store and finally had to someone that was willing to reach out to the owner only for him to tell me that my card was never charged (although the charge was processed and completed as confirmed by my bank) they refuse to give me a refund although I never received anything from this establishment whatsoever since my pizzas were never made, let alone delivered. I have been extremely patient with this business although they have grossly inconvenienced me for a over a week at this point with the amount of time I have spent on the phone with them now that I am...
Read moreI will not recommend Rosati's to any new customers or current clients. Upon arrival, customers see employees' bags and extra clothing on the back counter. There was a pack of cigarettes and a lighter out in view. None of the workers wore face masks or gloves. We are mandated by the State due to pandemic.
My order was ready and the manager was walking from the kitchen with it in hand. She places it on the counter and proceeds to complete my order. She attempts to run my card three times. After 15-20 minutes the problem is still not fixed. I ask what she is going to do because now my pizza has been sitting on the counter for 20 minutes. The manager yells at me and says it's not her fault for tech problems. I still ask what she is going to do. I have no cash. She continues to yell at me. Other customers waiting express how rude she is. I let her know that if this is how you treat customers I will not be returning. Manager raises her arms and flicks me away with , "Fine. Bye-bye." I let her know she is missing the point and she fires back, "I can either cancel your order or give you your pizza no charge." I took the pizza.
The other party that was with me had been waiting the entire time. They had ordered at the same time as I. Their order was still not done. When we got back, my order was extremely cold and the second order was partially cooked. We also found a dark, black hair in one of the pizzas. One can add no hair nets to the list of not worn items.
I will also be informing our resort management not to...
