Worst experience ever. I walked in and the place looked dead. I walked up to the counter and the waitress looks at me like a deer in the headlights.. I stood there for about a minute and a half two minutes before initiating the conversation and asking them if they’re open. The lady says yes and points at a table from behind the counter and says “sit right there.” As I sit down, I order my drink and order my food. As I finish my first glass of my drink, she brings over a plastic cup from nowhere and come over to my table and pour that plastic cup into my drink, refilling my drink and filling the cup with mostly ice. The waitress came over and said “you’re going to hate me.” I tried to reassure her by saying “oh no, it’s fine, what’s going on.” She explains to me that she forgot to put in my appetizers, so my appetizers were going to come in after my main meal. I told her “it’s fine, I just want my food.” She responded “no, it’s not.” She gives me the food and walks away. I then finish the second glass of my drink and ask for more. She brings me a pitcher of the drink and drops it off at my table and is not seen again. As I finish my meal, I sit there and wait for a waiter to come up and ask me if I want a box, if I’m ready for the check but nothing happened. I saw another waitress sitting another table. She kept glancing at me every once in a while as I’m sitting theee with my plates stacked and my wallet handy, but not doing anything. After about 10 minutes of waiting for someone to initiate the interaction, I walk up to the counter, wave someone down and tell them that I would like to pay. I wait around about another five minutes before they actually assist me with paying. I have been to plenty of Dennys and have had some bad experiences. This is by far the WORST Denny experience ever. You could not pay me to return to that establishment. Retraining on customer service and waitressing 101 is very...
Read moreDennys in Lake Havasu City, Az.: The first time I went there, it was around 9 p.m. I stood at the counter to place an order to go. Instead of walking over to where I was standing to take my order, the server stood at another counter to use the computer to enter my order. I had to questions about some of the dishes and when I asked, she couldn’t hear me, so I stepped closer and to the side. But, when I did this, I was standing next to another person who was sitting at the counter eating their food. I had to yell over this person in order for the server to hear me. I did not like doing that at all and felt embarrassed as the entire restaurant could hear me throughout. She didn’t answer my questions, so I decided that I had better just settle for the quickest and easiest thing to order so I could get out of there. The food was good, the service was terrible and I almost didn’t go back, but a week or so later, I decided to give them another shot. The 2nd time I went, it was relatively around the same time in the evening. And once again I stood at the counter. A different server walked up to me, was polite, took my order and answered my questions up close and personal. She was polite, upbeat and easy to talk to. The food was good, the service was excellent. If you choose to go there, I feel that your experience will depend on what...
Read moreWe were seated right away and asked for our drink orders immediately. In the time we were there 3 different servers waited on us and that's great! In this particular Dennys the lights hang down in your face and it's obnoxiously bright and uncomfortable. I have sensitive eyes and prefer to not stare through the sun while I'm conversing with the people I'm at dinner with. An incredibly rude busser or maybe she was a server flies out of the kitchen pointing at me and barking at me to turn the light back on after I had simply unscrewed the bulb. I understand they deal with drunks and druggies and pains in the keester sometimes but when a person can look the other way and it's harmless just look the other way, on little things like this that is. I've done this before, never been an issue. When it came time to order I wanted items off the burger den menu as I am vegetarian and love the beyond rodeo style burger thing. The waitress told me that she had never heard of it before and so I had to piece meal a burger together. I was told that the burger den wasn't a real thing? .... The food was delicious and prepared perfectly. The price was just right and the service was good too. Maybe she had never heard of burger den, not a big deal but product knowledge and availability is paramount in this position. Definitely not coming...
