McDonald's — Restaurant in Lake Jackson

Rain or shine there's always a line. In the Lake Jackson area, you can always expect a line at this McDonald's, Chick-fil-A and of course Whataburger. There's a reason for that, the food is good and they are fast. Please excuse the pictures, it was raining when I took them. But as you can see at 2:30 in the afternoon, there's still quite a bit of traffic at this McDonalds. That's two hours after lunch and two hours before dinner rush starts. This restaurant does have a very nice staff. It's easy to order from your phone using the coupon codes, or not. I like the fact that McDonald's let you pay at the register after you've ordered, either with cash or a card. Some people don't like putting their credit card information on apps. The inside of the restaurant is still staged for Covid-19, so there's spacing and all of that. The bathrooms are clean, and the restaurant stays that way pretty much. So if you're in the Lake Jackson area, this restaurant is close to the mall, Walmart, Target and the little downtown district. Highway 288 is the major north-south corridor, and this restaurants it's on Orchard Creek Drive which is the major East-West route through the area. Its McDonald's you honestly have mixed feelings with this restaurant. Sometimes this McDonald's can be good, other times its can be trash.

Here's my best advice before coming in here, if you are someone who is a Luddite or technology inexperienced, please do not come here. The Staff here will expect you use the kiosks in there whenever you wait in line. I ordered my food through the Kiosk and whenever my food was finally brought to my table, I was sitting on a table watching like 5-6 people wait in line and the employees would just ignore the customers whenever they were walking in and out from the back. Until I saw a lady say "Hello ? Excuse me?" That's whenever I finally saw a employee helping someone. I felt so bad for her because she was waiting in line for 10-12 mins.

But yeah the food isn't the problem here, its just that it seems like this McDonald's is trying to get rid of the Cashiers/ Front desk counter workers. I honestly miss the old McDonald's of this place because inside is so small now.

First off if I could I’d give them an even lower rating. I used the app at 10am to get breakfast and had to wait damn near 40mins to get to the speaker and they told me it didn’t matter that I ordered the food before 11am that it was past 11am now that Evan though I was there before 11am and had to wait so long to get to the speaker I couldn’t have my food witch was almost 25$ and the lady was so rude about the hole thing and now I have to wait over 24 hours to get my money back is beyond ridiculous and the hole experience was trash and that store needs new employees and managers at this rate. What is happening with McDonalds? Used to be so awesome and one of my favorite restaurants to grab a good fast meal but now they have just become complete garbage and someone needs to get in there and show them how to run a restaurant this is unacceptable behavior and what is the point of the app if we are just gonna get told that it doesn’t matter!!!!
