Me and a colleague of mine were in a brief debate on where to order for lunch. I spoke of Potbelly's Sandwich Shop, but was open to trying anything in the Ford City Mall area until my colleague spoke of Chipotle Mexican Grill, which instantly made my mouth water because I thought of my very first visit to Chipotle, which so happened to be in Englewood back in 2016. Since then, I have driven past many Chipotle restaurants while enroute to either work or driving to my apartment yet I just did not have the desire to visit any of them.
Chipotle makes me think of a factory combined with a restaurant because of its spacious area where you can see everything being done in the kitchen. Its employees work a assembly line fashion as a team, putting together customers orders. And its inner interior looks very plain with nothing too flashy.
The Chipotle menu offers burritos, burrito bowls, tacos, salads, and vegetarian bowls allowing you to choose your own toppings on whatever you choose, as your order moves from employee to employee in an assembly line towards the register. I ordered online, and my order was ready once I arrived at the store. While others waited in line, I walked straight to the front and picked up my order like a boss! Hehe. Our order consisted of 1 Veggie Bowl, 3 Chicken Tacos, and I ordered the Chicken Bowl, which was as tasty as it sounds. I mentioned to my colleague that the sour cream is what gave it its taste.
Not only is there ample amount of parking in the Ford City Mall parking lot, but Chipotle has its own lot, along with a portion of it shared with Mattress Firm because both are connected.
As we ate our meals we mutually agreed to make Chipotle one of our regular ordering spots while at or while outside of the agency. On my half, I have to say that the desire to eat at Chipotle again stems from the taste and the price I paid for my order, which was no more than $10 for the Chicken Bowl w/ a drink. I recommend! As well as recommend ordering online, so that you will not have to deal with possibly a long...
Read moreI am giving one start just beacuse one person can ruin ur visit to this place, the latino guy that takes the order was very friendly and took our order they way we wanted, after that u move to the next person that provides u the rest for ur food, well as soon as she saw us went to the sink on the back of the store and left our food there knowing that we were being serve, the cashier looked at her kind of surprised why she went back there and with our food on the table, then the other girl looked at me and went further back so we cannot see her, cashier ask the other guy why she left while the guy didn’t know it either, cashier couldn’t finished our food because she is handling money, i guess everybody has a role, the other guy took over and finished our food, a cople of minutes later this girl shows up when there were none on the line, before we left i ask what was her name so i can put this review ( her name is becky) we might, we might not come back it depends who is working here, bad experience for me and my family when we were doing our thanksgiving shopping and we see this type of service of her, if she doesn’t like to work there, get the books study and be something, books aren’t so heavy. So u will get a better job where all u have to do is...
Read moreBruh. This is the most heavy handed location I have ever been to. No wonder they have the best rating vs other locations in the area.
My husband usually only gets rice, beans, and meat. And nothing else. And other locations are super skimpy when it comes to dishing out food. It's not like he's asking for more meat. Just a full serving of rice and beans.
Anyways, this location gives you a full scoop and then some. They definitely leave me feeling like I got my money's worth. I appreciate that. Especially when You're paying $10+ for mostly rice and beans.
Not only are the servings substantial, the food actually tastes good. The rice and beans were cooked properly. Ive experienced crunchy rice and hard beans more times than I can count at other locations. The meat was juicy (I got steak). I also asked if I could have a taste of the new chicken and was given a cup with a couple pieces. Not my thing but I appreciated not getting any attitude for asking to try it. Also got a side of chips and they weren't stale! 🙌🏻 Although our bag was mostly tiny broken pieces. My only ask is they fix the coke. It tasted really bad.
If you get a craving, I definitely recommend driving out of your way to...
