After living near Midway my whole life, I was excited to hear there was a Chic Fil A opening closer to home. But the experience I just had at this Chic Fil A was the worst experience I have ever had in terms of ordering food. I ordered for curbside pickup. When I arrived I put in the number of which spot I was in and waited for my order. I go to Chic-fil-a a lot so I know there are long lines in the Drive Thru and a lot of work for these workers to take care of. Look, I am not a 40 year old mom that cries about anything, I am just a college kid. I know it would probably take like 10-15 minutes for the order. Guess what, it didn't. I waited 30 minutes for my order. After getting frustrated to the limit, I legit drove into the delivery driver spot just to get noticed. Guess what I did not get noticed by the people inside, even though I was legit waving my hand outside of my window. Several minutes pass of my sitting and waving disappointedly, until I notice a person who came 20 minutes later than me getting his curbside order. I call out loudly to the worker and luckily she hears me. I tell her my situation and she goes inside. Guess what happened? They just lost my whole order. That means that if I stayed in my curbside spot, I would have never gotten my order. I would have never gotten noticed. I would have lost even more time of my life, even though all I wanted was a simple meal. After another several minutes, someone FINALLY brings out my order. All I get is a "sorry I do not know what happened". All I get for losing 40+ minutes of my life is a sorry. I have work at fast food before, I know there are mistakes. But LOSING A WHOLE ORDER is not acceptable. As I mentioned before, I am a college student, I HAVE NEVER EVEN WROTE A REVIEW OF A PLACE BEFORE. But I just feel like I have to. Read moreI came here two days ago to order my son a nugget kids meal. I also had the spicy deluxe meal for myself. A few hours after eating, my son started experiencing the worst food poisoning symptoms. He couldn’t stop throwing up. The next day he slowly got better, but his symptoms returned swiftly, and they were so severe that I had to take him to the ER at 9:00pm. The doctors diagnosed him with food poisoning and gastroenteritis. They provided medication to help with his symptoms. The next day (today) I started having the exact same symptoms. I’ve been in and out of the bathroom and was so dehydrated that I started to feel weak and dizzy. I did reach out to the manager the day of my son’s incident and I felt very rushed on the phone. He also claimed he would pass the complaint along to the kitchen director. No one has reached out to me since. I also filed a complaint on their website, and notified the cook county health department. My son and I have been through so much these past two days because of the food we received. This is the only thing we mutually ate before his symptoms. I come here often and have never had an experience like this before. I’m very disappointed and will not be returning to ANY locations due to fear of getting food poisoning again. Read moreI was really excited to go to this Chick-fil-A since it was close to my house. However this experience did not sit well with me. I ordered for curbside pick-up and followed all the steps on the app that I need to do. I waited 30 minutes and watched other customers, that came after me, received their food. I told two workers that I was waiting for my order and they told me that it is coming out. 10 minutes passed and someone comes to my car and ask to see my receipt then walks away. She didn't say anything and didn't give me a chance to ask her what's going on. Another 20 minutes passed and they tell me that my order was lost! I was so confused because on my app it said that it was being prepared and it will be out in a few minutes. So I had to wait another 10 minutes for them to bring my order. All they said is that they are very sorry and they didn't know how that happened. I was really disappointed because I had experienced great service at the Chicago Ridge location and I expected the same for this one. I wasted 50 minutes of my time waiting for my order that would usually take 10 minutes. I highly recommend to go to the Chicago Ridge location instead...
