Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Lake Zurich

Food great 5 stars; service gets 1 star, for an average of 3 stars. The food is good. But, they don't accept Jersey Mike's coupons. They'll tell you that a coupon that doesn't expire for another two weeks isn't valid. Then they'll turn around and offer you a discount on your food which will still cost you more than the coupon price, and they'll keep your coupon. I told them to void my order and give me back the coupon. I then went to Jersey Mike's in McHenry a few days later and they accepted the coupon with no questions. The thing is, with these fast food restaurants, they usually have a pretty high turn over in help, so I'll probably wait a few months and give them another try, by then they'll probably have new staff...

I was given some coupons by a rep from Jersey Mike's about a month ago at my office so I would try them out. It was not a good experience. Everyone seemed angry and unfriendly. Upon checking out the cashier was nice but when the guy standing next to him saw my coupon his facial expression was not very friendly. Not only that but no one offer to toast my sandwiches. We have lots of office parties and have them catered but we shall not order from Jersey Mike's. I was never fond of Jimmy John's or Subway but Jersey Mike's makes them much more appealing. Clean and orderly seating area. The staff did not immediately greet us or ask if we were ready to order. My family and I stood there for over 5 min waiting for someone to ask if we were ready to order. There were at least 6 people behind the counter all talking to each other and completely ignoring us.
