Philthy Good — Restaurant in Lancaster

If you are looking to eat, while wandering around Lancaster, and find yourself at Southern Market, get to Philthy Good ASAP for an amazing meal. I normally pop into 211 Pizzaria for the best pizza around, but today I happened into the spot just opposite 211, Philthy Good. I am so glad I did. I had the Pork Belly sliders, and she had the Yakitori chicken bites. The sliders were just as impressive visually as they were in my belly. They had thick cut sliced pork belly, crispy on the outside and moist on the inside without too much fat. They were built on beautiful buns with a pickled carrot and onion slaw, a mild sauce, and green onions. The flavors just came together in this perfect union. And they were huge, I ate 2 and a half of them for lunch, and then barely finished her chicken bites, which were equally impressive. They were nicely grilled chicken thigh hunks, that were marinated, spiced and lightly sauced, for a tangy, smoky bite. They are called bites, but this is a meal in itself. A few weeks ago, my wife and I spent a couple of nights in downtown Lancaster in celebration of her birthday. As is our normal MO, we stopped by the Lancaster Southern Market to get some eats and treats. When we saw Philthy Good, we went in to see what was going on---and we were pleasantly surprised!
