Do not come to this location if you are of colored skin. I order a carne asada quesadilla. We are good up to here. I am number 47. Time goes by I hear 48, 49, and 50. I go up ask the lady " sorry, did I miss my number?" She replies no your taken little longer. I thought it was odd but ok. So I hear 51, 52, 53.three of the orders are my colleagues who I am having lunch with. They ask how come I didnt get my order since I ordered well before them. So I ask how is it 6 orders comes out before mine including carne asada fries and two burritos combos? The cashier tells me my order takes longer to cook. I ask her longer than carne asada fries in which you need to fry the potatoes? She says yes. Now anyone who knows how to cook understands this is BS. Fries take anywhere from 3-6 mins depending on the thickness of the french fries. So I stated" so let me understand you correctly. You are saying all previous six orders called out takes longer than my one order ( heating up flour tortillas, heating up meat because Robertos shops always precook meat and warm it up on the grill, and melting shredded cheese takes longer than six orders? She says yes. At this point I am getting upset. So I sit down and my colleagues who are already eating asked where is your good. Now she calls two more orders up 54, 55. So I go back up to ask for a refund. She has an attitude and says " your order takes longer than other it isnt anything personal" I respond if it isnt how does 7 orders come out before mine which some are full meals. So she provides me a refund and I purchase things within fabulous Freddie's to eat. I go to the fabulous freddy manager and explain my grievances. 35 mins later the female at Roberto's ask me to come to the front. She explains she only takes the orders and she cannot cook, she put in the order, and give it to the cooks. That's her job. She also explains just talk to the manager and it was explained what happened to my order. "The cooks gave the rest of the pre- cook carne asada to other orders before making yours". She didnt know that happened until she called her manager by cell phone. They made an offer to remake it but my lunch time was up. I informed her that it would have been great if they realized this the first two times I inquired about my food, apologized, and then make the order. Instead I was given a BS story about how my food takes longer than seven other orders, it requires you to call a manager to conclude what happened, and then because I Yelp a review and talk to fabulous freddy manager is when you decided it was worth finding out what happened. Had this been a white person or a another Mexican would they have been treated the same? I dont think so. I would not recommend this eating establishment to anyone BUT fabulous...
Read moreI've been going to Roberto's Taco Shops in Las Vegas since the early 2000's. Someone once told me they had the best nachos. I still think that's true to this day. What makes them so good is the toppings. You can get your choice of meat, such as shredded beef, chicken, carne asada, or just beans, if you'd like. The other toppings are too numerous, peppers, onions, sauces, and of course, cheese. Not just shredded cheddar cheese, but cotija cheese. This is the little white crumbles of cheese which don't seem to melt, but are oh so good! The tortilla chips can become a little soggy, but they seem to be made fresh from the tortillas there in the shop. By the way, these tortillas can be made as big as 18 inches in diameter. Huge! Usually, those big ones are served as a side to an entrée and not normally wrapping a burrito (although that would me amazing!)
I want to take an extra minute to talk about the shredded beef. It's so flavorful and tasty. I don't know how they prepare or cook it, but it's so tender and juicy, it reminds me of my mother's pot roast: Delicious!
Roberto's is open 24 hours, 7 Days a week. They always seem to have people of Hispanic origin working there, giving that authenticity you would expect from a Mexican food place. Very friendly, helpful, and patient! when deciding what to order (their menu is VAST!).
This location is inside the Fabulous Freddy's Convenience Store/Car Wash. They have about six small tables to sit at, perhaps grabbing a snack while waiting for your car wash or oil change.
One disappointing thing about this location is they no longer carry Chile Colorado. This dish is one of the absolute BEST foods on the Roberto's menu WHEN you can find a location which carries it. It comes with small cubes of beef marinated in a slightly spicy red sauce, served with rice and beans (or you can get a burrito!). This is an absolute MUST-HAVE if you get to a Roberto's which carries it. This location says they're too small.
Friendly service, open every day, with fantastic food is why I keep coming back over...
Read moreDO NOT GO HERE!!! The girl at the counter Alejandra has the absolute worst attitude I've ever encountered. Weâve come here at least five times and each time she has a bad attitude and gets the order wrong every time.... Every single time. Tonight we ordered simple we thought. Carne asada burrito with only meat and sour cream, two carne asada tacos with sour cream and a drink. She rushed the order and when I asked her to repeat it, her answer was "I got it". The total was $19.13 and it didn't make sense but out of habit and her rushing, I handed her my card. I looked at the screen and asked what the $2.20 was for. Her answer was "you added sour cream". I said I don't see that charge on the menu and she says, you added it and it's too late because I charged it.... And just walked away. We sat down frustrated.
The order was done after waiting and we checked it..... There was no sour cream on the tacos... The sour cream we just paid $2.20 for and the burrito had salsa and no sour cream. I brought it back to her and said that it was incorrect... Again.....and she said "well do you need to have it made again?". I said yes because you got it wrong and also I would have ordered the 4oz side of sour cream for .10 extra if I would have known you were going to charge $1.10 for each taco. I added that it's nowhere on the menu that this was an extra charge for sour cream on the tacos. She said they'll remake them and refused to talk about the sour cream. I asked again why the charge was there if it's not on the menu and she just said again the they will remake them.... And answered the phone in the middle of me talking to her.
We got the order back and the tacos were correct and the burrito was just meat..... No sour cream.
I WILL NEVER BE BACK.... This took over 35 minutes and was...
