I’m overjoyed with this restaurant. I was born in Thailand and grew up on authentic Thai food. It’s hard to find good authentic asian food in downtown Las Vegas. I would usually have to travel to Chinatown by spring mountain road to get my fix.
I took a chance at this new restaurant because I was craving pad thai and I called Le Thai and they refused to take my to go order because they were “too busy”. I called Siam Square and I picked up my food in 15 minutes.
Siam Square customer service is courteous and efficient.
I got the shrimp pad Thai, crab fried rice and som Tum. All three dishes were delicious! AND authentic!!
My favorite was the Som Tum. It is a salad of papaya, tomatoes, lime, fish sauce etc. it’s difficult to find and even harder to make. I was very pleasantly surprised by the authenticity. Not a lot of non-Asians eat this dish because it can be an acquired taste for people unfamiliar with Thai food. I’m happy they offer it because it’s hard to find.
I will definitely be coming back for more. It is a wonderful feeling to know that I can go eat authentic Thai food when I’m craving a piece of...
Read moreThe curry was good. The Pad Thia was good, however it was tangy and Im used to sweet. You pay in advance and they ask for a tip. They bring you the food and don't check back to see if you nẻed anything. What are you tipping for? With the curry they give you a little ice cream scoop of rice. This is clearly not enough for all the curry. Since they don't check on you, I went to.ask for more. The girl at the register looked at me weird and ask me which table I was at. I went and sat down and waited. I waited 5 minutes, the curry was getting colder. I when back to the girl. She said "Oh", meaning she forgot about me. She then tried to charge me $4 for another .10 worth of rice. I let her know it was for the curry that cost $20 that didnt come with enough rice. Bottom line. They lost out on future visits from a customer at $60 a visit for .10 worth of...
Read moreA friendly Thai woman seems to own and run the place. The other Thai restaurant didn't seem to actually have Thai people working there. The food was decent. I went there twice in one week. The curry tasted good, but was a little too soupy and thin. I wasn't asked about how spicy I want it. It came pretty mild. The other Thai restaurant asks how hot you want it, and their medium gave me a pretty big challenge to eat. Anyways, I came back and had the cashews with chicken. It was also pretty good. But, is missing something. I can't really figure out what it is missing. I've been to Thailand at least a dozen times and had a Thai girlfriend live with me for 6 months in another country. I have a good idea of what Thai food should be like. Overall, good food and prices, but might be missing some...
