It was one of those days that I went inside and wanted a hot coffee. Normally it is DD, but obviously, there was not a DD around so SB had to work. At the counter, I ask for a tall Pike Place and two other drinks, the cashier rings me up and sends me on down to wait for my drink. Now to be fair, I looked at the coffee machines and it had on the label, "Pike Place." So they make my two other drinks and I am waiting for my coffee. I finally asked about acquiring it and apparently, the easiest portion of the ordering was the most confusing part for everyone involved. I am informed that I was never charged for it and she had to charge me. Again, no big deal, I will pay for my drink. I reorder my Pike Place and the barista from down the way says they do not have Pike Place. As I inquire about the sign, I am informed that they are out of it and I needed to choose a different one. I do and inquire about it to be hot and I am told repeatedly that they just brewed the coffee and they assured me it would be hot. They give me my coffee, add whole milk to it, get about 200' from the store take my sip, and it was not even warm. Over the lack of customer service inside of that particular location, I did not want to deal with the staff at all. I decided just to throw my drink away and carry on with my day.
The other drinks were fine, but SB has a long-standing issue with never having their coffee hot, ever. I guess I was more aggravated than anything else. What I can assure you are, there is another kiosk inside of the mall. If I happened to want an SB for whatever reason, that is where I will try next. Definitely no need to return to a location with attitudes like what was...
Read moreThe ordering process was fine but the brain power/competence of one of the staff was severely lacking. I ordered coffee and a bag of chips. I stepped away to the far end of the bar top area to eat my chips. A few minutes later as I was finishing up my chips one of the employees came up to me very concerned stating that they were not open for dine in service. First Starbucks I’ve ever been to with this rule. He acted like it was a Covid health hazard me eating chips 10+ feet away from anyone else. I was tempted to say something but given that I had already finished the chips anyways I didn’t see the point.
The real kicker was when I was leaving his important job was to hold the door open for the line of people waiting to order. At least a third of the people in line were wearing masks only on their chins with their noses and/or mouths unprotected. If this employee was so concerned about Covid safety isn’t a bunch of people in a compact line not being properly masked the real Covid health hazard? Stupidity...
Read moreSo disappointed...... this location is very difficult to park so not the easiest place to grab a fast cup of coffee. After circling twice to find the right place to park we walk into the mall to find out they dont take large bills! Really - I have a small company and I break small bills because that is a service to my customers and I want their business. So after a long drive and in need of coffee, our business was not wanted! I drink coffee at Starbucks all across the US- just remember the customers are who make you successful- being on top can come and it can go! And if you can't make change at least train your cashier to kindly explain the situation instead of a blank look and goofy smile! Starbucks-...
