Ocean Mist Pub & Bar — Restaurant in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea

Cute little place. Just moved into the neighborhood and was looking for a dive bar that we could be regulars at. I must say, it has the dive bar vibe. But definitely not the prices. It was very surprising when we received our bill. I had a few friends with me for a football game, and we took fireball shots every score (probably 5) throughout 4 hours, the rest of our drinks very pretty fairly priced ($5 wells, $8 margs, etc) but our fireball shots were $9 a piece. I have never heard of this in my entire life especially the fact that you can go to the most expensive liquor store and pick a bottle up for $20. Our total being $230 for a football night out, majority because of a $27-50 dollar round depending on the amount of friends that joined. Absolutely absurd. Not sure if we...

Ocean Mist Pub is dive bar. The bartenders are super nice, a lot of fun and the patrons come from across the board with the young, the old, the locals, the tourists, a few bikers types, some six pack Joe's, younger women out of a good time and older women out for a good time. The place allows smoking and can develop clouds of it. If there you'll probably see plenty of tattoos, but more importantly a lot of people having good time fun and all very friendly.

For being near a beach and in a tourist community, the prices are really reasonable and the drinks they serve are really good but of course parking can be a pain and an expensive pain.

I won’t be a patron when April is working. This bartender overcharged me by three doubles. I paid it and tipped her 20% knowingly. That will be the last time I come when this particular bartender is working. She admittedly said she overcharged me by one. I’m not green. She can take her money to the bank knowing she will never have another good customer willing to tip generously. This happens to be a good establishment and I have never had a problem with Shannon...but this particular bartender seems to think that taking taking advantage of seemingly drunk customers is ok.
