Sloan’s — Restaurant in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea

My family and I tried Sloan’s tonight for the first time at about 10ish on 4/22/24 the night shift employees were absolutely horrible. Their service and attitude was mind blowing. We’re from Chicago so we’re used to people being rude but never at the place they work at. Female employee was extremely ignorant, ignoring any and all customers and if she did respond is was with attitude and eye rolling/ continuously punching her hand in annoyance and to top it off telling a 6 year old to ‘hurry it up already’ on ordering ice cream is ridiculous. The boys working there have no manners/ will completely ignore you. All three were extremely rude, disrespectful honestly the Lauderdale homeless people have a more positive attitude than the employees who worked tonight. Went here Saturday night(12/30/17) with my husband, mother in law and three kids. The guy serving us was rude and unfriendly. He was rushing us because they were closing soon. There were three workers behind the counter with him just standing around and not helping the guy when we wanted to taste something. There were other people that walked in behind us to so we weren't the only customers. I ended up not ordering anything because the service was so bad. They don't sell a single scoop for people like my mother in law who can't eat more than that. It was expensive ($6.29) for two scoops and my husbands ice cream and my mothers wasn't even good! I recently visited Sloan’s in Lauderdale By The Sea and had a delightful experience! I ordered a cookie dough ice cream sundae with hot fudge and chocolate sprinkles, and it was absolutely fantastic.
