First time here. Read in least one review mentioned the slow speed if filling their order. To be fair this was 7 pm on Friday night. Almost every chair on then place was filled but only 3 tables had food. I figured we would be waiting 20 minutes for our food but it took almost 50 minutes before we got our order. I estimated 10 orders ahead of ours based on the groups. I had my back to the restaurant but by the time our order came up most of the others customers had gone and a new crowd was filling in. I suggest they hire someone familiar with running a grill. 50 minutes is way too long even with the crowd they had. But that is just the wait time. I ordered the Salty's my wife ordered the rosemary garlic. She enjoyed her burger but honestly the only thing I could taste on mine were the grilled onions and the special sauce. I should have taken a picture to show the size. It was not very impressive meaning it looked like a kids portion. We also ordered tater tots and onion rings. The tots were crispy and lightly seasoned but the onion rings were maybe a 2.5 out of 5. I've had better onion rings at some budget fast food places. Lastly, for the prices I expected a better burger and bigger portion. I am mentioning all of this as constructive criticism. Although I won't be back for a second try. I hope things get...
Read moreHad a nice lunch date with my wife and daughter here. Salty’s is a great add to this strip mall area of Harmons. The burgers are good, tater tots are crispy, and my wife and daughter loved the onion rings. Chatted with the owner who is a good dude. I appreciate that they offer a gluten free bun. I do wish they offered GF fries. And yes, gratefully they have Coke products on tap. But the burgers (quality ingredients I’m sure) are expensive. It’s hard to compete in an In-N-Out world where they have great supplier prices. But this is a different burger with well seasoned, quality hamburger. The patties were perfectly cooked…not dry like a lot of smash-style patties.
A couple things I would probably change. I personally like whole leaf lettuce on my burger instead of chopped up lettuce that simply won’t stay on the burger. I also think the cheeseburger needs to have noticeable amounts of cheese. These burgers need more cheese! But the sauce is excellent and the grilled onions too. Worth going here. 5 stars to keep it up and good luck in...
Read moreJust had dinner tonight with my fiancée at Salty’s and man we were VERY disappointed, after having read all the positive reviews of this place. The store is very small which didn’t bother us but the food was subpar and honestly wish I could have just got a refund. We bought two burgers and a side of cheese curds which came out to $35. The cheese curds were good but the burgers are seriously lacking. Both of our burger buns were dry and burned and patty’s were burned as well after waiting 40 min. We both did not end up finishing our burgers. I’ve had smash style burgers plenty and these did not justify $35 especially since they use Wonder bread buns. Cannot recommend and won’t be coming back. It’s unfortunate as I do like to support...
