My recent visit to Capriotti's in Lehi left me utterly disappointed and frustrated. I had high hopes after coming across an advertisement that promised a free grilled cheese with the purchase of an entree. This seemed like the perfect opportunity for a family dinner, but unfortunately, the experience fell far short of expectations.
To start, the restaurant's early closing time of 7:00 PM posed a challenge for many patrons, myself included. Despite this inconvenience, I placed an order for pickup at 6:45 PM and made the trek from Eagle Mountain to Lehi. The anticipation was palpable as I looked forward to a satisfying meal for my family.
However, upon entering the establishment, my hopes were dashed. The man behind the counter informed me that the two "free grilled cheese" items on my receipt had been crossed out, replaced with a disappointing "no." According to him, this particular franchise did not participate in the advertised promotion. The frustration of driving all the way and having the promised deal denied was incredibly disheartening.
In light of this unexpected setback, I had to resort to picking up grilled cheese for my kids from In-N-Out instead. It's disconcerting when a restaurant fails to uphold the promises they make in their advertising. The fact that they still allowed the option to order the "free grilled cheese" on their app while knowing they wouldn't honor it only adds to the disappointment.
The inconsistency between their advertising and actual practice is concerning, especially when coupled with the increasing prices of their sandwiches over the years. If a location won't honor a relatively small promotional offer like the free grilled cheese, it calls into question the overall value of dining there. It's a shame, as we have fond memories of the Murray location before moving down here and miss the quality service and reliability we once enjoyed.
In conclusion, my recent experience at Capriotti's Lehi was marked by broken promises, frustration, and a sense of disillusionment. The failure to honor the advertised free grilled cheese offer, coupled with the early closing time and increasing prices, has led me to reconsider my patronage. Sadly, the inconsistency and disappointment have pushed my family to choose an In-N-Out night over what used to be...

I would have to say that I was not impressed by my cashier. I went to lunch with my friends here ONLY because they had a sandwich with my name. The cashier, which I think was the owner was not great. First my friend want to mix two different soups together, and he would not do that. Guess we will stick with Zupas that will. Next was my order. He told me that he liked the cold Bobbie better, so I said. Okay, give me that. Then he said no, you will have the Hot Bobbie. Um okay. 😳 Then he said cash or charge? I said it would depend on how much it was because I only had $10 cash. He said to just give him the cash, well it was more than $10. My friend jumped in with the rest and I said absolutely not and told him to take my card. He took my friends cash instead, now I owe my friend which will cost me more than my 10% savings in gas to return to her. 🤦🏽♀️ He did the same thing with my next friend even though we both insisted on using our cards.
He asked for my name and I said Bobbie. Just like the sandwich and even spelled it for him. My ticket was spelled Bobby. 🤦🏽♀️
The sandwich was messy, but good, but did not really look like the picture. A little turkey, not very much cranberry and mostly bread and stuffing. The gravy was VERY good with it, but very over priced and I will never go back because he disrespected mine and my friend wishes to use our cards. I will just make my own sandwich at home. Customer service sucks here. Better bring cash, because apparently that is all he takes. Sign on door says 10% of if paying with cash. 🤔 Sincerely, not a...
Read moreI've been to a few Capriottis and this was by far the worst. We ordered two kids grilled cheese, the Bobby, and the grilled Italian. They ran out of bread and it took us 30min to get our sandwiches because they had to unfreeze it. Mind you it's only been 30 mins since they opened at 11 and they told us they had already ran out of bread (there was nobody in there besides us and its not a busy location on a Sunday). The next thing and probably the most disgusting thing is we found bones in our Bobby sandwich. The grilled Italian was so peppery that it wasn't even edible. It looked like someone went to put pepper on it and the whole thing spilled and they just tried to brush off what they could (i get it happens but just start the sandwich over). The soda machine wasn't working properly, water was coming out of the front of it as I was trying to get Dr. Pepper (not really sure how that even happens). I would have asked for a manager at this point but the only people there was three young teens around the age of 15 or 16. Good luck if you come here. I was really grossed out and disappointed with...
