I come to this store every black Friday for their buy 3 get 2 deal. My experiences before tonight have been nothing but pleasant but tonight, my family and I were treated like criminals and I am disgusted with how we were treated. While I picked candy, my mother and cousins stood out of the way holding completed bags. Granted, they were near the door, but, in the black Friday crowd, there aren't very many out of the way places to stand in a small store. As I worked on the 3rd bag, my mother called my name, asking if I wanted them to hold the bags. An employee (short, heavier black woman with glasses) had approached them and taken the bags from their hands (without their consent) to put behind the counter. While I'm well aware they will hold your items at the register, I have never had a problem keeping my bags with me and having companions hold them. The employee also kept insisting that my mom and cousin wanted to go sit down, though they weren't making any attempt to leave the store. It seemed that she was essentially trying to put them out after violating their personal space. After that, she trailed after me, hovering as if I planned to grab a display case and run away with it. I was and am still extremely insulted. On a normal day, I would have left without buying anything, however visiting this store was literally the ONLY reason I was out at 1 AM on the craziest shopping day of the year. What makes it more insulting is that I spent a considerable amount of time in the store, spoke to several other employees to enquire about sales and flavors, and (even after accidentally knocking over a case of candy and drawing lots of attention to myself) took my time selecting candy for 4 of the 5 bags I purchased. The entire time, my family waited for me in the same place. We did nothing indicative of plans for grand theft truffle. As much as I hate to be "That person" I believe we were singled out because we were the only black customers in the store. Lindt, please retrain this employee on proper customer service. I am saddened to leave a negative review because all of the other employees we've encountered have been absolutely courteous and respectful, but I have a hard time supporting a store that treats me like a shoplifter. I may drive the extra miles to Aurora the next time I need to buy...

We had a really nice experience at the Lindt store in the Fashion Outlets of Chicago (Rosemont). A staff member (wish I caught his name) greeted us with gold chocolate coin samples and answered our questions based on what we were looking for.
Kelsey helped us at checkoutâshe was super friendly and even added some free pistachio-flavored samples, which was a great surprise. We also got a free Lindt chocolate bar just for being members!
The only surprise was the price of the MAC Bark, which rang up at $41.99 per pound. I thought I saw a lower price posted, so just a friendly tip to others: make sure to double-check the pricing in the bulk section.
That said, the hazelnut and cookies & cream bars we picked were amazing, and the overall service made it a great visit. Will...
Read moreI had a disappointing experience during my visit on 8/31/25. Unlike my previous visit on 11/2/24âwhere I was greeted warmly and offered help while shoppingâthis time I was not acknowledged or welcomed at all. I noticed that every white customer was greeted with a âWelcome in,â while people of color, including myself, were not treated the same. What made the experience more disheartening was when a staff member with glasses offered Lindt pistachio chocolates to other customers but completely skipped over me. She walked past without a word, and it felt uncomfortable and isolating. Whether intentional or not, the difference in treatment was noticeable and disappointing. I left the store without making a purchase, feeling unwelcome and unseen. Please train your workers to treat...
