I would like Le Creuset to forward this feedback to their Rosemont team.
On 4/19/25, we had government business in the area and decided to stop by the store to return items we purchased for gifts to Chicago relatives, that decided they didnât like the color. While there, I saw the LC cleaner and had described I used Bar Keeperâs soap. Muriam interjected and combatively told me, that I am choosing to ruin my LC pans using Bar Keeperâs instead of LC cleaner and void my warranty, with a tone and a face. I told her that I donât purchase LC for the warranty necessarily because 1 of my pots cracked in the oven and it wasnât replaced, and she automatically told me it mustâve been thermal shock, as if Iâve never owned an LC cast iron in my life (Iâve had 120 pots by the time this crack happened). I disengaged and instead spoke to my partner in French, because I was so taken aback by the way she responded. Weâve had LC dutch ovens for 2 generations in my family, all have used Bar Keeperâs and no damage. In fact, I worked with LC marketing decades ago, and I know Bar Keeperâs is one item that was officially recognized as a safe cleaner for LC. I attach a screenshot of the website stating this. But thereâs no point reasoning with someone blindly talking to me.
Then we talked about different scenarios when braised meat juice gets encrusted in the pan in the oven, and she also told me âI have no idea what youâre talking about, that never happens to me.â
It all went downhill from there. I didnât plan on purchasing anything, but last minute checked the clearance section. In my experience, many times you can nitpick through the âsecond choixâ items and find something with nearly little to no imperfection. So I did my thing and sifted through items, and she yelled from the back and told me I was looking at second choix items so theyâre all imperfect. I had enough with the condescension and kindly responded, âIâll still look through themâ.
Then my partner, who has an Asian native tongue, asked about the yellow sun color, âsoleilâ. He pronounced it in his native tongue, and she responded, âSOH-LAY. All those boxes there are SOH-LAYâ. I again bit my tongue, even though she pronounced the company name as âLAY-Creusetâ instead of âLUH-Creusetâ.
I told my partner once we walked out that she ruined the shopping experience for me, and she made me not want to buy anything.
The man she was with though, he was super enjoyable and wish he was the manager. His persona is better suited for sales than hers. I am confused how she stayed a...
Read moreHi I visited this Saturday Jan8th around 12:30-1pm .. I walked into the store to browse and a customer service representative approached me and asked me If I needed any help. I let her know I am just looking im fine for now thank you. She responded in a condescending way stating âOh Okâ but I ignored her.
She proceeded to complain out-loud stating âthe parking lot in the mall is completely full, meaning many people are shopping and itâs not okay to enter the store without buying anythingâ (as if Iâm wasting everyoneâs time by browsing.)
I immediately left the store because I felt uncomfortable. I saw on my way out, that the store offers Klarna. Which wouldâve been helpful to know while browsing.
This customer service agent has glasses, she is short, and she is brunette with a hint of blonde in the front. After leaving the store I felt so bad, as if I was judged or an embarrassment. These days you donât know what battle a person is fighting. Right now times are hard for everyone. Letâs all remember to be kind.
Hence the fact that this customer service representative was very rude and confident about it. She may say the wrong thing to a future customer and things can become heated. Please advise I will take this to corporate regarding how this employee treated me. Many people are wishing they had a job during these times, while this person is demeaning customers confidently. Just Watch out for her if you...
Read moreI collect Le Creuset and have been buying for years. I make a point out of not purchasing cast iron from an outlet store, but I do visit this outlet once every year to see what they have. I have bought accessories on occasion from this store. The only thing that sticks out in my mind is that the staff is on top of you the second you walk in the door and try to talk at you the entire time. Seriously, leave people alone and let them approach you if they have a question. It is very annoying to have a sales associate trying to constantly engage in a conversation the entire time. Plus, they seem to act like every customer knows nothing about the Le Creuset brand. Positives are that the store is clean and just steps away from the parking garage. I get that the staff members want to be helpful, but please take a hint and mind your own business. I don't need them to follow me around and hold my hand when all I really want to do is take a quick glance at what's on the shelves. Most of the time I don't end up buying anything from here because I already own what they...
