I've been to this Dutch many times with no problems. It seems that they have changed the staff working on Sundays in the last few months because since then I have vowed, because of the awful, rude, belittling service, to never give this Dutch Bros another dime. If I could give a Z-E-R-O I wouldn't hesitate.
I have to have Sugar Free for health reasons. My order is simple- a medium breve (hot or iced, depending) with SF choco mac nut and SF coconut syrup. Literally could only get simpler by a notch, by excluding the syrup. I get this every time, from every Dutch I go to. It always tastes the same. The lady taking orders was emotionless as she took my order in line (not at the window), not smiling even one time, no greeting, no sendoff, just took my order and payment and walked away. Actually looked like she would rather die than be working. I ordered my usual (along with other drinks for coworkers) from this Dutch a few months ago only to get to work and taste it to find it not SF. I had my mother try it who also agreed it was not SF, and I trust her taste because she is sensitive to the SF sugars used in place of regular. I decided to not risk it not being SF and took it back to ask for a new drink. They are more expensive drinks and its a health concern for me, so I bucked up and took it back. When I got there, the only nice person was the lady at the window (not the same one taking orders). Very understanding, told me that they could of course make a new drink and she would let the baristas know. Two other women, older (one was the line order lady), and a younger man were notified only to have one of the women (the oldest) furrow her brow at me and exclaim, out loud for me to hear, that I had no idea what I was talking about, that she made the drink and she knows how to make coffee and that I just wanted a free drink. I told her I wanted the correct drink and that I drink this drink every time I get coffee, and I brought the other drink for them to see me dispose of. She said she 'didnt care', that I was just 'complaining' to get another drink because they couldn't take the other drink back and I was 'crazy' (yes, literally said I was crazy) for 'questioning her barista skills and ability to make a SF coffee'. She says shell make it again but 'its going to taste exactly the same becuase she's going to make it the same since it was already SF'. The young man leans back from the register at my window and says, very loudly, 'yaaaa mann! That's because she doesn't know what she's talking about! It was already sugar free! Make it the same!' I told them that I could very clearly hear them, and not only that but so could the people at the other window, who, like me, looked very uncomfortable. The lady at my window was incredibly apologetic, I wish I had her name. I told them their behaviour was extremely unprofessional to which both the man and woman shrugged and the woman said 'it is what it is, like your drink' as she thew my drink together. At a different time, I ordered the same drink again and the same women were working. I was handed the drink with the comment 'here's the stupid complicated one'. Like what?? If you must grovel, you say these things to eachother AFTER the customer leaves. Not TO THE CUSTOMER. Their inability to take customer criticism (I wasn't even criticizing, just asking for the correct drink) is mind-blowing, and even worse is their inability to not talk trash about their customers TO their customers! I work in food and was appalled, literally had no words, as they sat there saying I was incompetent and crazy for asking for what I ordered basically to my face. Ive never experienced worse service and I tell everyone to avoid this location because nobody deserves to be treated...
Read moreI love Dutch bros drinks, I’m an avid drinker, BUT I HATE coming to this location. No one has a sense of urgency, everyone is in a bad mood all the time, they don’t know how to be nice. And when they get your order wrong they will literally throw the drink into the garbage in such a way that you KNOW that’s what they want to do to you. We asked for a single shot extra hot white mocha(medium) and this girl put in waaayyyyy too much coffee because it was sooo strong. We were never rude. And asked her to remake it please. She stared at us with dead eyes and threw the drink and when we nicely asked to make sure it was extra hot because it was just warm. She just ignored us. Never acknowledged us. Then handed the drink to us very rudely. I am so glad I don’t live in Lincoln city. The people in Salem are MUCH nicer, super efficient, 9/10 get the drinks right and when they don’t they remake it with a smile. I am not using my Dutch app here because on my app I have automatic tipping. No way am I tipping here. And I don’t want to forget to add it back in once I’m back home. We thought the first time was a bad day and it wouldn’t be like this again. But here we are 45 mins in and with 5 cars. Salem Dutch Bros has 10-15 in line and they serve them in 10 minutes. And with quality drinks. Too bad for...
Read moreI just left from this location and I’ve been having a pretty bad weekend. I came to the beach to get away from Portland and also to celebrate my birthday. Friday i had to put my dog to sleep and i was very sad and Saturday was my birthday. The room that we got here at Lincoln city is so nasty and that was a disaster. I pulled into to Dutch bros and was greeted at the window by Molly. She was so full of life. She asked how my day was going and i said that it could be better and she said tell me about it. So i gave her a brief description of my weekend and she had so much compassion for me. I cried during me telling her about my weekend and she was so loving. She gave me my drinks on the house. I’ve never met this lady a day in my life but she was so loving that i felt like I’ve known her my whole life and could tell her anything. She is the true meaning of grammar customer service. Mr Dutch if you read this, giver her major major kudos points from me. Molly you rock and you e helped turn my day around from a bad one to a pretty good one. Mr Dutch you need more ppl like her in your locations. She even said “hey man i love ya and things will get better.” Molly of you read this i love you too. You really...
