Lincoln City Beach is an absolute gem on the Oregon coast, and our recent visit was nothing short of spectacular! This pristine stretch of shoreline offered the perfect backdrop for a fun-filled day with family and friends. The beach itself is strikingly clean, with soft, golden sand and breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean, making it an ideal spot for relaxation and adventure alike. We had an incredible time exploring the tide pools, which were teeming with vibrant marine life—starfish, anemones, and crabs kept us captivated for hours. The kids (and adults!) were thrilled to discover these little ecosystems tucked among the rocks. Flying kites was another highlight; the steady coastal breeze made it effortless to send our kites soaring high above the waves, adding a playful vibe to the day. Building sandcastles and sculptures was a creative blast for everyone. The sand was perfect for molding, and we crafted everything from classic castles to quirky sea creature sculptures, sparking laughter and friendly competitions. The wide, open beach gave us plenty of space to spread out and let our imaginations run wild. What stood out most was how well-maintained the beach is—free of litter and beautifully preserved. The natural beauty, combined with the variety of activities, made Lincoln City Beach a standout destination. Whether you’re into nature, play, or just soaking in the coastal serenity, this beach has it all. We’re already looking forward to our next visit! Highly recommend for anyone seeking a...

The beach around Lincoln City is mostly flat and sandy. There are plenty of public entrance points to access the beach. It gets busy on weekend afternoons in summer but not like the crowds you'd see in some destinations.

For the brave and hot blooded, you could swim. Even in summer, though, the water is frigid. Some people find it refreshing, but I am not one of them. People do surf at Lincoln City occasionally, but wearing a wet suit or dry suit is highly recommended year round because, again, it's cold! Flying kites is also popular at Lincoln City’s beaches. There’s a kite festival both in summer and fall.

Our favorite activity is to simply go for a walk. You’ll come across all kinds of interesting shells, seaweed, tiny crabs, shiny rocks, and drift wood. Find the tide pools for even more interesting sea anemones, starfish, and more!

We were close enough to the beach where we were staying that we did not have to worry much about parking. The house we rented had its own parking area. During the weekdays of our stay it was not busy at all. On the weekend we tried to go to a part of the beach south of where we were staying so we drove. Unfortunately we could not find any public parking it was all taken. To get to the beach you have to climb down the cliff side using stairs. It is challenging if you have disabilities. There are landings you can pause to rest if needed on the way back up. I noticed several people using the stairs to exercise as I sat on this beautiful beach. The cry of the gulls and the sound if the ocean was so relaxing and rejuvenating. I loved every moment of my stay. Of course my grandsons sprinted up and down these stairs like gazelles. There is one spot you can drive down to the beach but be careful as the possibility of getting stuck in the...
