Atmosphere: 91 degrees outside and thereās NO A/C! That is unacceptable! After I left, I called Las Palapas and they said they do have air conditioning.
Service: We could not understand our server huge language barrier. Forgot my water, didnāt bring my wifeās tortillas with her meal, didnāt clean off our table to make room and just the communication when she did her recap of everyoneās order before putting it in was a nightmare.
Food: Food was okay for Livonia, but very average. Tacos were loaded, but there was no flavor, no seasoning really no passion in the cooking. This was not good.
I had a party of 6 that we had to squeeze into a booth because the only seating they had was anywhere from 1-4 people. Anything over 4 people and you wonāt be comfortable. Thereās a lot of Mexican restaurants in Livonia, but this place is far from Las Palapas and far from Calixto. If you feel like eating in a room well over 100 degrees with no A/C come here, but we wonāt be coming back. This was a nightmare of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy father and I visited this restaurant for the first time on a busy Friday night. Although business was booming, our waiter was attentive throughout the meal. Complementary chips and mild salsa come with the meal. The salsa is good, but the chips are better. I ordered the fajitas tejanas (steak, chicken, and shrimp combo). My father got steak fajitas. Although each and every table was occupied, we received our food fairly fast. I am often disappointed by the rice and refried beans that I receive at Mexican and Tex-Mex restaurants. That didn't happen here. I especially enjoyed dipping chips in the cheesy refried beans. My father and I both gave the fajitas a solid B for flavor and quality. The prices are fair and competitive. Entree prices top out in the high teens. Overall, we had a positive experience and zero complaints. We'll definitely return and recommend this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTilapia tacos are good, but I am very disappointed with the charge for spicy salsa. As soon as the waiter sat the house chips and salsa down, I asked if they had a spicy one, which he then brought. There was no mention of an extra charge until I got my bill. Didn't ocurr to me there would be one as all other mex places i go don't. When I asked if I could get credited bc I didn't expect it, he rudely gasped. Mgr was much worse, abrasive, with no desire to consider my opinion or any misunderstanding. Tells me nothing is free!! Wow. Well, I didn't order the house chips and salsa that's "free" - comes with the lunch, of course. Be careful, not like other mex restaurants....very poor customer service. My business...
