On April 4, 2025, a granddaughter competed at a sport team event. We left the event at 8 o’clock and arrived. Check Arama at 8:30. We seen the hours of operation on the door as we entered the restaurant. We waited at the counter for 2 to 3 minutes until a hostess arrived to take our money. This waitress welcomeness in and told us that new servings would not be put out after 9 PM. We expressed knowledge of her statement. We seated our self at a table and began getting food at approximately 8:40. We returned to the table and ate the food that we had selected. A few minutes. we returned to the buffet and selected more entrées. I seen roast beef and ham and turkey at a station and a sign red. An employee will serve our choices of the meat. No server was there. I approached another employee and was told they would be right out. I waited one to two minutes until a person come out and sliced half a small portion of roast beef I ask for a little bigger portion and was given a larger portion. I returned to the table with my portion of meat and other items I had selected, and my granddaughter had also returned to the table to eat. I noticed in another room there was six employees sitting at a table eating. As we ate, I asked an employee that was walking near our table if we could get beverages. A few minutes later, a server came by and asked if we needed anything I asked about soda and water. This person told us that beverages come with our meal but did not ask us if we would like a beverage and only told us again the beverages come with a meal I ask again so because it’s near closing time we wouldn’t be able to receive a beverage. There was no answer. A few minutes later I got up and got a dessert. Still no server come to offer beverages. Again, as I was returning from the dessert table, 6 employees were still eating at the table in another room. The room appeared to be another part of the restaurant were guests were able to die. Needless to say I left no tip and we actually left the restaurant before 9 PM. I have dined at Chuck Arama several times in Ammon, Idaho, Salt Lake City, and nearby cities, Las Vegas. I have never received such poor service. I will never dine at Chuck Arama in Logan again. The roast beef was cold and we never...
Read moreI had a terrible experience at this location today. I’ve taken my kids there multiple times because they enjoy the food, although I personally find it too bland and usually don’t eat anything myself. Typically, they refund me for my plate at the end of the visit since I’m required to pay for everyone including myself upfront. Today, however, was the first time I had an issue getting that refund. I approached the cashier toward the end of our meal, but the manager, Rose, told me that her server claimed they saw me eating, and therefore, I wouldn't be getting a refund. I calmly explained that I hadn’t eaten, that I’d been feeding my baby the entire time, and only sipped on my water. I did test the temperature of my baby’s food with my tongue—twice—to make sure it wasn’t too hot, but beyond that, I did not eat. Rose responded that since I claimed I didn’t eat, she would need to review the camera footage. Imagine the embarrassment I felt—being told I was essentially being investigated over a meal I didn’t even eat. I sat there for almost an hour while she reviewed the footage. She eventually returned and told me she had seen me take a "couple of bites" but would refund me anyway. At that point, I was irate. I asked to see the footage myself. When she came back and showed me the video, there was nothing—no evidence of me eating. I was in tears. The entire situation was humiliating and deeply upsetting. I couldn’t shake the feeling that I might have been treated differently if I didn’t look the way I do. Sadly, this isn’t the first time I’ve been stereotyped in Utah because of the color of my skin. Needless to say, I took back my tip. That server did not deserve a penny of my hard-earned money. My kids agreed to never go there ever again. Thank you Chuck-A-Rama for ruining the experience for them. Thank you for turning what was supposed to be a fun family gathering into a sad day. We’re never...
Read moreI've lived in Utah for years and heard about this place from ads. Thought it was sort of a cheesy All-you-can-eat place. And imagine that: it is! First impression was the really annoying country music playing in the background. Then the busboy kept singing, badly, and loudly. I don't mean just occasionally, but all the time, and even when there was no other voice in the music track. It's rude to whistle, hum, or sing in public unless it's part of an act! He talked to himself too, and forgot about customers waiting for service. Then the food. OK salad bar - well it's pretty good. But they did not have olives, chopped the radishes up to a mince, and most of the prepared salads were not at all appetizing, but I don't believe pasta is supposed to be in a salad. The soup was barely warm, a health violation. It did not taste homemade. Then the entrées, the only thing that even appealed to me was the fried chicken (there were many other options). It was pretty good, even though the breading was sort of falling off. The mashed potatoes had the peels in - which is another pet peeve for me - if I wanted mashed potatoes with wet cardboard, I'd order that. Peelings don't belong in mashed potatoes! I like the peels on boiled potatoes, or baked, or in some other circumstances, but the whole point of mashed is not to have peels in them. The vegetable selection consisted of all the vegetables I don't really like, and looked sort of sad in there steam table containers. Desserts looked OK, but I did not really partake. I like other All-you-can eat places, but won't go back...
