Poor quality food and high prices are the main reasons for the 1 star rating. The wait is not a bother when you are expecting quality food for the inflation prices 5th Ave Bagelry charges. The increase in pricing seems to be reflected in the decrease in portion and protein sizes on the sandwiches. In addition, I was charged an extra dollar for veggies on the side when I did not order them, nor did they give them to me with said order. I only ordered two sandwiches (5th ave bagel and a BEC on a bagel, I wish I took photos). I even ordered directly over the phone with their staff. Which I understand being busy, but the person who took my order hung up abruptly with no total given or time duration for pick-up. I called back to get those details on the second phone call. The lackluster quality of food and unapologetic service made it clear that no one working did not care either regarding the experience. Upon refund request the original receipt given to me did not reflect the tip left either. Which prompted me to correct the employee of my refund total, because they only go by what the initial receipt total is and not what you left in complete total for your bill. If you made it this far in the 1 star review you know I will not...
Read moreThe atmosphere is small and casual. The staff is friendly. Service is quick but tables are scarce, I definitely advise the cafe undergo an expansion or for them to add outside tables. On the flipside their bagels are absolutely delicious. The veggie delux open faced sandwich on the asiago cheese bagel is to die for. I also tried their cinnamon sugar bagel with honey walnut cream cheese and was very satisfied. One problem I will mention is, sometimes they allow themselves to run out of popular bagel flavors without being prepared with a fresh batch at hand. I advise that they either assign one or two employees with the responsibility of starting a new batch for popular bagels that they recognize are starting to run low or to just make more of the highly demanded bagels from the get go. Instead of standing around and letting their supply dwindle. They have to know by now which bagels go fast... So maybe they should make double the amount for popular flavors. I worked in a pastry shop as a cook. Its simple, you make more of whats demanded more of in order to meet supply with demand. Overall this place is great, its delicious, and I...

The 5th Avenue Bagelry is a hidden gem nestled in the heart of the city. From the moment you step inside, the aroma of freshly baked bagels fills the air, setting the stage for a delightful culinary experience. The variety of bagels offered is impressive, ranging from classic plain to adventurous flavors like everything and blueberry.
The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready with a smile and a recommendation if you're unsure what to try. Whether you're in the mood for a simple toasted bagel with cream cheese or a loaded breakfast sandwich, they've got you covered.
One of my favorite aspects of this place is its cozy atmosphere. It's the perfect spot to grab a quick bite on your way to work or to linger over a leisurely brunch with friends on the weekend. Plus, the prices are reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food.
In summary, 5th Avenue Bagelry is a must-visit for any bagel enthusiast or food lover in town. Trust me; you won't be...
