Confidential Coffee in Long Beach is a gem worth visiting, especially for those who appreciate supporting small businesses that uplift communities like minorities and the LGBTQ+ community. This cafĂ© has shown resilience, having faced challenges but emerging stronger, and it truly deserves all itâs flowers đ
Located at the corner of 6th and Pacific Avenue in downtown Long Beach,
Parking is accessible with both street parking and a small adjacent lot with about 15 spaces.
The ambience is warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot to relax. The baristas are friendly and helpful, often assisting customers in choosing drinks. The cozy decor consists various couches, a communal bench, and bookshelves stacked with books, complemented by plenty of natural lighting A standout piece is a beautiful painting of Frida Kahlo done by a local artist, adding a unique vibe to the atmosphere.
When it comes to drinks, Confidential Coffee offers a unique selection. Their seasonal drinks my personal favs, but the flexibility to customize milk options is a nice bonus. My only complaint is the Cajeta latte fell short in flavor, lacking the expected taste of cajeta. Despite this minor hiccup, the still give this cafe a standing ovation đđŒ for their dedication to fostering community and creating a sense of belonging is commendable. This one has a cool vibe and offers plenty of parking, although I tend to just walk, as it is that close. Along with coffee they offer a small assortment of eats (vegan donuts, packaged biscotti - is what I have tried - they also sale vinyl). The coffee has always been good, they offer a couple of specialty drinks to, that have been very tasty.
I personally, like the seating here best. They have higher tables and very cool stools, made of wood that are cool looking and comfortable. The tables also let you stand and work, which I like as I hate sitting all the time. As other coffee shops have opened up, I find myself coming back here, The service has been friendly, the coffee good and the location ideal....

Hands down, his favorite place when he's in town for a simple espresso is this place. He says there's no competition. My palette isn't nearly as discerning as his, and I normally don't take espresso straight up, some taking his word on it.
Whenever we come here I always ask the barista which is her favorite drink. A lot of them are seasonal and change regularly. They also have plenty of milk alternatives for people like me with a little bit of milk sensitivity.
I've never had a bad drink here, never had a bad experience, the place is clean, the service is pleasant and friendly and knowledgeable, and it's easy to waste an hour or two. Just chatting and enjoying...
