There were two employees working the ice cream counter. We went during Oregon Spring break time. The line was long and you could tell employees were tired of the line. The girl was dishing out the ice cream while the boy was ringing everyone up. Then they stopped ringing people up right when they got to us and he helped her catch up on ice cream orders. He helped her catch up on about ten customers, then came back to take our order. My two young kids were getting super antsy and waiting for 30 minutes for a banana split and ice cream cone was dumb of us, but we had already waited a long time so we just waited it out. Prices are going up on everything everywhere but $9 for a banana split was the first for us. The place is full of all kinds of delicious foods, sweets (chocolate and candy) and more. There are so many ice cream flavors to choose from. I wanted to get a bunch of flavors but if you get one scoop of ice cream- you get one flavor. $3.75 for a junior size small cone. My son chose the play dough flavor. I chose banana split so we could get three different flavors and toppings $9. Banana split was delicious. I had coconut cream ice cream, lemon pie flavor and a cookies and cream ice cream with hot fudge and crumbled Oreo cookies for topping.

I gave 3 stars because I've been there several times, and even though there is always a line it usually isn't too bad and the ice cream is good and staff is friendly. BUT if this was my first time in it would have been 1 star. I kid you not, I waited in that line for 45 min. And the guy dishing the ice cream was slower than a sloth. And that's insulting to sloths everywhere. If you've got a line like that you put a little hustle in your step. The guy ringing orders was constantly stopping to help the guy catch up. Why they didn't just switch places I have no idea. Finally got my order taken, ordered a waffle bowl sundae, paid about $2 more for the waffle bowl instead of a Styrofoam bowl. After about 10 min waiting for him to make it he handed me a Styrofoam bowl (of a messy melty glob) he apologized and said he'd remake it. I declined as I didn't want to wait another 10 min. I'm not saying I'll never go back, but if he's working again, I'll turn around and walk out the door.

They need a better process of how they service. Everyone has their orders ready. But right after they place their order. They have to wait another 30-40 minutes to complete the order. The young lady that works there barely does any work. Takes forever to take an order and doesn’t communicate well. She takes an order then leaves to some where else. Leaving her partner alone to complete all the orders. They need more people to help scoop orders. I know they have to have more people looking for a part time job during the busy season. We spent a total of 1hr and 8 minutes for 3 ice creams. Roughly 43 minutes in line to place the order and we were 2nd in line. Then another 25 minutes for them to scoop the ice cream. 1 single cup, 1 double cup, 1 single cone. They should change their name from “Scoopers” to “Waiters” because that’s what they make you do. Wait instead of scooping.

Usually, this is one of my favorite places to go in Longbeach but I was so disappointed this time. In this time of Covid, everyone should be wearing a mask AND wearing ir correctly. It doesn’t help if it’s hanging off your face with your nose uncovered. When I brought it uo to one od the guys serving the ice cream, he said it wasn’t against the law to be wearing the mask incorrectly! Well, you all should be concerned about those people who don’t wear their masks correctly infecting your workers let alone the people standing in line. People did not respect the 6 foot apart boundaries as there must have been 40 people in line.

Also, with the 40 people in line, sometimes you only had ONE person scooping ice cream. One lady was busy cleaning the covers over the ice cream gallons while one guy went on break and that left the poor new girl there all by herself. Poor girl! Finally, I asked the woman cleaning to help the poor girl out! I got ice cream 4 times in 4 days and waited in line sometimes 40 minutes. I worked fast food before and can tell you things are so poorly run. Once I sat in the car while my husband went in to get the ice cream and I saw a lot of people leave when they saw how long the line was. Don’t do your daily cleaning if you have...

Went in yesterday on the way out of town. My friend needed a dairy free option and we were told they had a mango sorbet. Ok cool! Since there was no one in line she wandered down the coolers looking at the flavors. She stood there and the guy behind the counter ignored her. I was standing by the register and he ignored me as well. She finally asked if she could get a sample of the mango sorbet. He said, “yeah let me get you rung up first.” She said “I just need a sample right now to see if I even like it.” Keep in mind - she is DAIRY free. It’s not like she had all these options. He told her that they can’t give samples without having something paid for because people have been known to get all samples and never purchase anything. She’s one person….and there wasn’t another soul in line waiting for ice cream. He completely refused to give her a sample - so we left. I wasn’t going to buy anything if she wasn’t. I feel like this is poor business. I can understand not doing samples if the place is packed during summer and understand that they are there to make money. But customer service goes a long way and that was just horrible. The employees were also not very friendly or outgoing. All in all, it was not a good experience. Very...
