12/19/23 This morning I went in super early and the clerk was so friendly. He even put my groeries and receipt in the bag I brought in. This little market just keeps getting better. I'm so grateful to have it within waking distance. 4/4/23 I can tell the owners took my comment seriously. I've seen a change and I appreciate that they listened. I can tell that they're making a serious effort to add price labels to everything. One more thing that would make customer service even better is to ask the customers if they would like a receipt. I'm frustrated with this store. There's not a price on everything and even if there is, you'd better check to make sure that' the same price you get charged. I'm on a limited budget and I wanted to get the least expensive dog food I could for my pup. So, I purchased two packages of Bella dog food which had a price listed at $1.49. I was charged $2.79 a piece for them. When I said something the cashier acted like I was lying so I went and got the tag to show him and he still didn't beleive me! The tag was clearly printed with the dog food name and price.
There was another price tag on the shelf rght under the Bella dog food. So, he did end up refunding me the money, but only after I insisted. Maybe getting charged twice as much isn't a big deal for a couople of cans of dog food. But I WAS a regular customer in that store and this isn't the first time I've had a problem like this. Only the first time I've written a review.
Make sure you check the prices if you shop there and don't count on it being the same price you pay at the register. I won't be going back. Not that anyone would care anyway.

My issue was the way I was treated as if I were lying. And apparently the cashier still is blaming someone else.
Customer service doesn't mean that you have to take it if a customer is rude. But you should also give us the benefit of the doubt if we say something is mispriced. He could have checked the price when I told him it was wrong, instead of acting like I was trying to pull a fast one on him. It was embarassing and frustrating.

And what a wide range of products and did I mention clean. From the floors to the shelves and all products, perfectly clean... I was impressed. And the staff were helpful and polite. Just plain nice. For the Peninsula this is a great place. Everything is priced about the same as everywhere else, but some things are cheaper. I'm just still shocked about the whole visit. Read moreThis store is awesome. I was in Long Beach for an evening and discovered that this is the only store open overnight in the area. Luckily, their selection leaves nothing to be desired! I was able to get hot food at an ungodly hour (I recommend the honey chicken..on a stick). Beyond their hot case, Supermart offers an extensive selection of alcohol, fountain drinks, and other beverages. Additionally, they have a seemingly endless array of snacks, comfort foods, candy and a variety of take-n-bake meal options. They also have a decent disposable vape selection (elf bars and PAL).
