Abalona Coffee — Restaurant in Los Angeles

Occupying this cute space right by the Venice Beach, this cafe was surely perfect spot to enjoy the beach while getting your caffeine dose. They did have some small tables inside, but obviously more of the guests preferred to sit at the front patio just to do people watching or seeing the seagulls.

Let me take a moment to say bunch of thanks to the top-notch baristas, who went above and beyond serving the customers. It was 'CERTAINLY A DAY' during my visit as I spilled half cup of my coffee on my laptop and not so long after that a guest came and fainted on the spot. Dealing with that kind of day, they were being extremely helpful, even offering me towel to help drying my laptop and making me another drink to replace my spilled one. They also helped taking good care of the fainted guest and yeah it kinda happened back to back LOL. Cutting the story short, they were just amazing and if you ever paid a visit, please treat them super well :)

Ordered a cold coffee. Asked if it could come without ice. The lady frustrated? looked down at the floor almost the entire interaction and said pretty tersely "I don't know I don't make the drinks he makes them and sends them over do you want it?" I finished my order feeling a little weird, but customer service isn't a guaranteed hit everytime. I brush it off. My friend who was behind me in line orders and gets your average customer service experience. I wasn't paying attention to his service but after stepping away from the counter he immediately mentions how weird that was and asks if I noticed the difference in service. I didn't, but after he explained what he saw from behind and experienced himself in juxtaposition it became obvious... Food was mediocre. Coffee average. Service was a specific kind of weird. Amazing spot in Venice! It's right next to the Venice side walk, and perfect place for any occasion, getting some work done, hanging out, or go to the beach etc. Their coffee is absolutely top notch. Locally produced and it has the amazing flavor and special aroma. Moreover their food level is definitely better than any other coffee places! Especially their pastries are so delicious and just a perfect match for their coffee.
