Located a block away from the north end of Abbot Kinney, this petit shop faces a side street, with its outdoor seatings not on the curb but across the street in a parking lot. The casual set-up matches perfectly the beachside atmosphere.

Despite its small size, Little Lunch is usually well staffed with friendly baristas. Jordan and Zoe are two of them that I chatted a little with and they are both very sweet. Jordan made an excellent cappuccino during my first visit, which convinced me to go back a few more times. I had a matcha creme de la creme and enjoyed the little flavor twist with monkfruit; I had Best Mate and found its first sip amazing, but the oat milk based drink tasted a little bland under the delicious top layer. The one drink that I didn't really enjoy was Coco Cold Bru, the problem is not even too much milk but too much ice.

Greenwashing over service. At 3:40 PM I asked for a real mug for-here at Little Lunch Coffee + Snacks. First I was told they were “closing soon” (with 1 hour 20 minutes left). Then the excuse changed to “saving water,” so evenings are to-go only (daytime is for-here). Multiple peer-reviewed studies show disposable cups and lids are rarely recycled; hot drinks in these containers can shed microplastics and PFAS, and polystyrene lids may leach styrene. Drinking from them exposes people to documented chronic health risks including inflammation, cardiovascular strain, and toxic buildup in the body. At the same time, single-use packaging adds CO₂ emissions and long-lasting waste from production through disposal, worsening environmental pollution. That’s not sustainability — it’s greenwashing and poor customer service. I left for a café that respects both customers...

I don't say this lightly: This is the best hot vanilla latte I've ever had, period. Everything on it was perfect. From the grounds they used and the clean extraction to the texture of the milk, and even the perfect tulip on top. Absolutely delightful.

The guy that took care of us was super friendly yet professional. Really nice guy!

They have free customer parking across the street, and a little outdoor seating area attached to their parking lot. I only wish they opened the space next door to allow for indoor seating when not in use, but not a big deal.

Prices are a bit high for a takeout coffee shop, but nothing crazy.
