Blossom Restaurant & Rooftop — Restaurant in Los Angeles

Please don’t waste your time. I came here for Valentine’s Day and was surprised when we were asked to pay & tip for the meal before being seated. Once we payed they said they didn’t have any seats and asked if we would join a couple already in the middle of their dinner. We said no and they miraculously found another table for us. When we got to the table it was full of plates covered in plastic wrapping, we asked what it was and they said these are the appetizers…just sitting there for who knows how long waiting for someone to occupy the table. We asked to see a menu and they explained that they didn’t have one and that we could Google it. OpenTable describe this restaurant as a steak house but it’s middle eastern Mediterranean. We ordered drinks and waited 20 mins and no one ever came back nor were any of the “16 delicious items” on their pre fix menu they promised to be brought to the table brought over. The space at first glance seemed really cool with live entertainment but quickly you realize that it’s all smoke and mirrors. I would best describe this place like a wedding reception venue and unfortunately we felt like unwelcomed...

On Valentine's Day, my friend and I looked for a good restaurant to take our family. We found this restaurant called Blossom on Ventura blvd. But I looked in reviews and I saw some 1 star. I can not judge someone's reviews because if you see some unhappy customers with 1 or 2 stars, where are the other 1000 happy customers? We called and reserved the table, We arrived around 8pm for dinner. The place was packed, all the tables full, live music and a good lighting system put you in a good mood. We said definitely this is the place we want. We really enjoy the place. We had good food and a full liquor bar. Hard to find In LA to be all one place with good food, drink, DJ and dance floor. It’s not really like the IG videos make it seem. Good food options, but the service is slow. My friends waited 1 hour to get their drinks. There are awkward transitions between the performances & the live dj. It seems like the place is still trying to find its identity. $85 + tax & tip?...
